I have been using Bell Pump and Well for many years and I can’t say enough positive things about them. I know when I call them I am going to receive the most knowledgeable workman with the most informed technical skills who not only do a great job, but analyze and explain what you need or what is not serious and may merely need an adjustment or watching. From scheduling an appointment to job performance, they are the kindest, most sincere people and I only wish more companies had the high standards they possess. If you want the best, feel sure that with Bell Pump and Well you need look no further.

Update after speaking with Brian: we were charged for two people despite only asking for the inspection appointment. I am very appreciative that they updated the rate to only charge for one person given our request and the work that was performed, so updating to 4 stars. I would still advise potential customers to ask about costs up front, specifically the service call cost and hourly rate. I would also suggest that Bell Pump & Well be a little more transparent with their pricing.
We called them because they had previously done the inspection on our well when we purchased our house. We woke up one morning without water and determined that it was an issue with the well, so asked them to come out.
Shortly after scheduling, the water came back on, so I called them back to cancel, but asked if someone could come out during a non-emergency window, which is marked up in cost, just to inspect the system.
When the two gentlemen got here, who were great, I walked them through everything I had troubleshot and what I was doing when the water came back on. They very quickly determined it was the pressure switch, so they just went ahead and replaced it.
When I asked about the well itself, they were helpful in telling us that it may have about 5 years left, and that a new one would cost around $3.5k installed. With that information, I figured the new pressure switch, no new wiring, would not be much. They mentioned that we would get our bill in the snail mail.
Eventually the bill arrived and we were incredibly shocked at a $344 cost for the new pressure switch.
Overall, we feel like we were taken for a bit of a ride given that cost was very smoke and mirrors. So, do your due diligence and look elsewhere if you know what you need done or if you happen to need a new pressure switch.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding Service from Bell Pump and Well
When our well pump failed, we were bracing ourselves for a stressful and expensive repair. My Plumber came out first and quoted us $11,600 for a new pump and wiring—and unbelievably wanted to charge an additional $1,600 just to measure the well. We decided to get a second opinion, and thank goodness we did.
After speaking with Bell Pump and Well, they estimated the job at around $6,000 if the wiring needed to be replaced. We immediately felt more confident in their honesty and expertise. When My Plumber left, they didn’t just leave us with a sky‑high quote—they literally left the top off the well, wires hanging out, and even took the screws that secure the lid.
Bell Pump and Well scheduled us for the next day between 10–2. Despite pouring rain, they arrived around 10:30 and got straight to work. By noon, we had running water again. They confirmed the wiring was perfectly fine, saving us thousands. Their team was professional, knowledgeable, and respectful, taking the time to explain what they were doing and why.
They didn’t leave a mess, didn’t cut corners, and even replaced the missing screws My Plumber had taken so the well was properly sealed again. Everything was put back together better than they found it.
Bell Pump and Well is, without question, one of the best service companies we’ve ever worked with. Honest pricing, exceptional workmanship, and genuine professionalism. We will recommend them to everyone we know.

Bell Pump and Well is seriously the BEST company I've ever worked with, in any service sector. And definitely who you should turn to for your well/plumbing needs. I have so many data points now to back up that they're uniquely qualified, and just always (with every tech, every customer service person on the phone, etc.) a true joy to work with. And boy I've put them to the test. I first worked with them last year when my water started coming out blue - they replaced my water filtration system for less than the big competitors in the area, and on a much quicker timeline. The tech who serviced that job was kind, professional and took the time to really educate me on my system and its needs.
Testament to their customer service: there was a discrepancy on that bill due to an honest miscommunication with the technician. I was billed for a test of my water that I had ok'd taking a sample for just in case, but believing I could decide later whether to actually have the test done (the cost of the test showed up on my bill). When I communicated the confusion, the manager (owner?) messaged me personally with the most gracious apology and resolved it right away. So, when I came home from a trip in this ice storm to find my water not working, I should have called them first. I called the big local plumbing company in a panic since their 24/7 number came up first. They came out the next morning, let me know that my well was frozen, and said that there was nothing that could be done other than wait for the temperatures to rise (which would take at least another week, maybe two). Not wanting to live out of a suitcase at great cost to me and/or a friend for that long, I remembered to call Bell Pump & Well. Thank God I did - they sent someone right away (within an hour! After a very clearly communicated back and forth with their office to understand my problem). They warned me that it may not work but that they wanted to at least try to thaw my pump.
The guys who came out were so kind and good humored, despite the terrible cold. And now they're my heroes, as they had it thawed and the water running again within moments! I was charged less for the fix of the problem than I was for the "diagnostic" from the bigger company that ended in no resolution.
Lastly... this is harder to quantify, but as a single woman living alone in the woods, is incredibly important... I feel so comfortable with all of their techs, and never get nervous about being out alone in the country with them. They all have such a professional and caring demeanor - not only do I feel safe (the baseline expectation that sadly isn't always met with other companies), I feel cared for - like they'll go out of their way to make sure I'm set up well in my home and that I have the knowledge I need to manage it all on my own.
Folks, they just don't make companies like this anymore. Please find a way to support this business if you can. Thanks, Bell Pump and Well! I'm so thankful not to have to go spend another week in a hotel, and for everything you've already taught me about my home's systems!
Bell Pump is a great company to use!
We've been using them for years and are always pleased.
