  I called this company looking to buy a special order window when I call im sent to a guy named bill he takes the information for the window says ill send the quote im ready to buy the window so I ask him how do I pay do I need to come in person or what he says no someone will call me ok cool he sends the quote about an hour later looks good well closing time comes no phone I tried to call but got voicemail no call back ok following day around lunch still no call I call them get sent over to bill I tell him who I am I’m trying to make the payment takes him a few minutes to “find my paperwork “ but was probably taking a nap in my opinion anyway he finds it then tells me again someone is going to call me I said bill you told me that yesterday bud “ then I get attitude telling me that he was waiting for me to sign the quote and send it back to him first and only time he’s mentioned it weird but ok cool I hang up I signed it sent it back and waited and waited and waited then it’s going on closing time so I feel like they don’t want my business it’s just a window a $900 window but even if it’s a $100 window I don’t deserve to be treated like that so I pick up the phone & call abc-builders and 5-10 minutes before closing those guys not only helped me with the quote but took my payment right then it was slightly more expensive then old bills quote but for good customer service it was worth every penny I don’t suggest using this company if bill is a reflection of there service

  I had a very disappointing experience over the phone with Builders FirstSource. I called ahead to let them know I just needed to pick up some boards, expecting a straightforward response. Instead, I was met with a condescending tone and made to feel like I was being difficult or slow for not opening a ticket in advance. The person on the phone unnecessarily dragged the conversation out and talked down to me, saying, “Well, it’s a lumber yard — you come in the showroom, tell us what you need, and pay,” as if that wasn’t already understood. I simply wanted to make sure I was prepared and respectful of their time, but the response made me feel unwelcome and unappreciated as a customer. Customer service goes a long way in this industry, and this experience was enough for me to take my business elsewhere. I won’t be shopping here again
