This is not a situation where I was charged more for same-day service; service was scheduled the day after I called, with the tech actually arriving outside of the 4-hour appointment window. The company developed an estimate with an assumption of 2 hours labor. The tech said it wouldn't take that long, so I figured the estimate was a worst case scenario, and I'd be charged less if everything went fine. Be aware: that isn't how it works! The estimate isn't even the bare minimum of what you'll owe, because they add the diagnosis fee as an extra charge on top. I will absolutely update this is if I learn the price was reasonable. The tech diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly, so I can recommend them in that sense.
