    Sr. Technician Roman provided exceptional service and truly went above and beyond. He expertly shared his knowledge of water heaters in a way that was easy to understand, and it was clear he takes great pride in his work. Not only did Roman descale our water heater, but he also identified areas where the system could be improved and made additional upgrades that noticeably improved overall performance. He was professional, efficient, and extremely knowledgeable throughout the entire visit. Excellent experience from start to finish!

From start to finish, he was professional, knowledgeable, and meticulous in his work. He took the time to explain the process, ensured everything was installed correctly, and left the area clean and organized. The range hood replacement was done flawlessly, and the ceiling fan installation was perfectly balanced and secure. David’s attention to detail and commitment to quality really stood out.     We have used Michael & Son Service once before for some work in our home, so when the power went out in our Barndo/Shop where we run our at home business, we called Michael & Son. When I called to make an appointment, I spoke with the scheduling service representative. This person was very kind while I explained the electrical needs of the Barndo/Shop. The wiring in the shop is not for a new electrician. While speaking with the representative, I asked if they could come out between 03JAN2026 and 05JAN2026 because there was no power to the building. The representative said the could send someone today (03JAN2026) between the hours of 3:30pm - 6:00pm. I asked if this was a regular appointment, and not an emergency appointment because I didn't want to pay the extra fee and the representative said this was a regular appointment. I accepted the appointment, and he assured me everything was annotated and an experienced electrician would be out today. Perfect! Several hours later, I get a call at 3:30pm from Michael & Son dispatch office and I am asked if a newer electrical person would be able to come out to my residence because they don't have an experienced electrician available today. I explained that would not work. She apologized and said she will have to reschedule me. I explained to the dispatcher I was fine with rescheduling but it needed to be by Monday. She said their next available appointment was in 10 days. I asked the dispatcher why was I told they had availability today when in fact they don't? She said it is a scheduling service and they always overbook. She further explained she could have an experienced electrician come out as an emergency, but there would be a $170.00 fee. I told the dispatcher this was not acceptable, and the fee should be waived. She said she could not waive the fee as she has tried before, but her supervisor can't approve it. I responded, "can't or won't?" She didn't respond. The amount of hours wasted waiting for our appointment to begin, only to be canceled at the projected appointment timeframe, is time I can't get back. I could have hired a different company today had I known Michael & Son wouldn't be able to fulfill the job. I am well aware the dispatcher has no control over the extra fees charged by the company, nor does the dispatcher have control over the scheduling company. This is not an issue with the dispatcher at all, she is only the messenger. She was very kind and apologetic. My issue is with the higher ups/supervisors. If your scheduling company is overbooking, and making promises you can't keep, then you all need to fix it or find a different scheduling company. To have a returning customer call you in their time of need, and then bail on that customer is problematic. Additionally, to not admit you all screwed up, and then still demand an emergency charge to be dispatched, that is diabolical. That is not how you keep customers. As a result, I will not use you all again. Your company made a mistake, and can't stand by their word. You all made an appointment, and didn't follow through. You blamed the scheduling company you all hired, you know they have problems and yet you continue to utilize them. Then, when the mistake happens on your watch, you refuse to waive an emergency fee to the customer in need as a good faith apology. That is not ethical. A company is only as good as their word. A customer will continue to return when they are treated with respect. A customer will also return when a company admits a mistake, and then fixes it. This is Customer Service 101. Michael & Son, you have failed that course.

    The technician came for the second time. He was supposed to order a filter for the unit. He ordered the wrong size. Then he proceeded to try and shove it in. If I was not standing there he would have just done it. Then to make it even a more disastrous experience he was the same guy that apparently serviced the humidifier on the last visit and said it was working. Well it clearly was not and I had to beg him to look and try to figure out what was wrong with it. Finally he does it, but his conclusion is that the plumber needs to flush the line. But when the plumber comes he says that is nonsense. Now all this aside, the worse part was him putting his mouth and sucking on the connector to the humidifier. All that bacteria now is going to party in the humid filter. Why not just put it under water and do it the normal clean way? Dimas, was a disaster today. Maybe it was just a bad day. But wow.

    I recently suffered a terrible power surge which left me without power followed by a multitude of electrical/appliance issues. I did my research and reached out to Michael & Sons for emergency services. Mr. Hanbyeol Kim was dispatched to my home and I have to say that his level of service, efficiency and professionalism left me truly impressed. Mr. Kim worked tirelessly to figure out the damage and took the time to walk me through the repair process as he worked. He was able to restore my lights, outlets and ensure my electrical safety. He also took the time to re-label my breaker box circuits with the correct locations in the home. Although I lost some appliances in this mess, Mr. Kim made me feel so much better and knowledgeable about the matter. He also helped me to identify additional features that will ensure that this level of damage won’t happen again. Michael & Sons will definitely have my business as long as they continue to provide this level of service. THANK YOU MR. KIM!!!! 😊
