  3 years now and it’s settling in door seals with light coming through cracks are now everywhere from garage doors baseboards door cases counter tops to exterior rocks which now I’ve fixed 5 myself. I purchased and slightly customized my home from Sierra in 2022 while at the time I should have kept my eyes out for more things known they were going to be an issue especially with the really bad electrical work the superintendent they had at the time I mean this guy did not know crap about building homes let alone doing construction. Over priced as this is a spec home that was over half a million dollars which in reality should have been $300k tops. 6 months in my ceiling was wet so knowing how to inspect I poked a hole and it started raining in my dining area I have black mold in my house due to this. The insurance repair company they used was horrible too I used to do this king of work so I knew how to fix it all step by step. I have a huge patch to look at now in my living area. The concrete floors are uneven in many places that the LVT is now separating and corners are chipping up. What’s funny is how these fake tiles were actually installed before the painting was done in the entire house. It’s the most horrific one tone paint job I’ve ever seen in my life. I painted residential and commercial and insurance repairs for many years doing construction in late 1990’s early 2000’s so I know what to look for and what people try to hide. I overpaid for a heated garage which I had to get sierra to come back months later to insulate the ceiling above garage. Currently dealing with major Waterhammer in my walls when the furnace comes on the pipes bang around. The duct work is terrible since heat rises why are the vents in the ceiling? Who knows lol engineers get paid way too to much to be idiots. My garage floor has had a huge crack in the middle since the foundation was poured which I was told back in 2023 by a supervisor named Chris to just caulk in the crack. Half a million dollars lmao what a joke. Here are some photos. My opinion is look at other builders before deciding on this company. I’ll add more photos soon.

  I can honestly say I have had my ups and downs with the company but they have always tried to help how they can.

  Don't make the same mistake we did and use Sierra Homes to build your home. Here are some of the issues: 1- Very expensive for the work they provide. 2- They do not easily deviate from the house plan they provide. Maybe they don't know how to do it. 3- Lack of updates and communication throughout the process. Be ready to pull teeth to get the updates you need. 4- Our house was done in July, but we still have unfinished items from the build. 5- Poor quality workmansip: Uneven treshholds, poor finish on laminate flooring, ... 6- Very poor planning and design: Our plan had a column at the front entrance. When we were about to move in, we could not get through the front door with furniture, because the column was installed to far toward the front door. Apparently, the workers do not look at the plan when they start building. The only solution we had for the time available to move in was to have them remove it. And you might have guessed it, they asked us to pay for the removal!! 7- They do not insulate the house unless you specifically ask for it. I thought it was standard, but I was wrong. 8- workers do not look at the plan. If all the above is not important to you, maybe you should pay closer attention to this one. We made changes to the concrete walkways and doors locations, but the worker bees just went through like usual and executed according to the last time they looked at the plan. 9- The builder will make decisions without your consent. They will or won't ask for forgiveness later. 10- The house was overpriced by about 100k 11- Very very very poor craftsmanship and plan execution. 12- They have very high turn around on the contractors they use. You might end up with several contractors finishing up the same job on one house. I don't know why people are giving all these great reviews, they must either pay them off, or my neighborhood is the only one that got the bad side of Sierra. I am disapointed and wish I researched other builders before jumping in. I gave them 1 star because I can't go any lower.

  Sierra Homes builds a quality home with a great team helping through the building process. They have a wonderful working relationship between Realtor and Builder !

  2018: We built our home almost 4 years ago with Sierra Homes in Santaquin. We could not be more pleased with not only our home, but the attention they have shown us during those 4 years. I contacted John when our family was chosen by the city to help install our yard with a fence, as we have 3 special needs children we adopted who cannot be outside unattended. The city was looking for donations of many things, including dirt to level our large yard and also top soil to prepare for sod. John came to my mind. I sent him a quick text not expecting him to even remember me. To my surprise, he did and immediately said yes and asked how much we needed. Sierra Homes, in conjunction with DRCX Excavation hooked us up with 5 huge dump truck loads of dirt, and did so without hesitation. This has always been my experience with Sierra Homes. If we had any type of issue, they always came through to help us quickly and the best way possible, even when our home was no longer under warrenty! Thank you so much!!!! 2016: We have been so happy with our home! We have experienced a few issues a long the way, and I feel like John in particular has done a great job of trying to take care of our concerns, even if it has past the warrenty time frame. He has always treated me fairly. We have loved our home, and have been in it for nearly 2 years now.
