Frequently Asked Questions About Webb Cabinetry Design
What's the difference between face frame cabinets and European Cabinets?
Face frame cabinets are constructed with a frame to which the cabinet is added. They are typically more cost-effective and have a more traditional American style. European cabinets, on the other hand, do not have a front frame. Their doors are attached directly to the cabinet box, providing a more contemporary look and maximizing interior space.
What are your lead times?
Our pre-fabricated cabinets generally have a lead time of about 3 weeks. For custom cabinets, you can expect a lead time of approximately 6 weeks.
Do you offer soft close or standard close?
We offer both soft close and standard close options. However, we recommend soft close mechanisms as they can extend the lifespan of your cabinets.
How long does installation take?
Our installation rate is typically around 7 cabinet boxes per day for each installer.
What is your deposit process?
We require an initial 50% deposit to begin the project. For jobs exceeding $50,000, we request an additional 40% progress deposit, with the final 10% due upon completion. Projects under $50,000 require the remaining 50% at the time of completion.
What is the recommended cabinet finish?
We recommend engineered wood finishes for their superior durability.
What cabinet type do you avoid?
We generally advise against painted cabinets due to potential maintenance and durability concerns.
