  In the past when I’ve had issues with company’s/services I speak to the company directly but Thomas plumbing was absolutely terrible. Our home warranty sent them to fix a toilet, the technician seemed like he was put out maybe in a bad mood which I get it long days etc. My wife asked him a couple questions which he replied “I’m just here to fix the toilet” so that was the end of that conversation. There was some miscommunication between our home warranty company and us which lead to the follow up appointment being canceled by Thomas plumbing. Day of I hadn’t heard from them so I reached out and spoke with Debbie. She informed me the appointment had been canceled and I simply asked her why wasn’t I notified considering I’d taken time off work to be home. She denied any wrong doing and blamed my home warranty and to take it up with them. I asked why I didn’t get an automated text notifying the cancellation which she began to be combative and denying accountability. We ended up on a three way call with home warranty company and everything was situated again a simple miscommunication. My home warranty notified me that Thomas plumbing no longer wanted to work with us which I’m perfectly ok with. Fast forward to this week, I submitted another ticket for plumbing service with my home warranty company. Never heard from the company designated to do the work for scheduling. I look into it and sure enough it was Thomas plumbing again. They didn’t have the decency to refuse the service call with the home warranty so they could reach out to another company. Instead they were just going to sit there and waste my time again. I called the home warranty and explained the situation and going forward Thomas plumbing will not be an option in my account. Interestingly enough after that phone call I then finally hear from Thomas via text notifying the service call was cancelled. First time around was a misunderstanding they weren’t happy we weren’t happy and that was the end of our business relationship but now I feel like they went out of their way to waste my time. Instead of being petty maybe they should focus on proper communication with clients.

  I had a leak in my downstairs bathtub/ptrap. They told me they were going to have to demo about 4 feet of concrete in my basement to fix the issue. That would have involved tearing out the flooring and basebaords. Once done, replacing flooring, baseboards and painting. This would have cost up to 2k in additon to the repair. I got a second opinion from another plumber and they were able to fix the issue without tearing out any flooring. Seems like they were just trying to get more money out of us for no good reason. If the cast iron is a problem why would we only be replacing a few feet of it and not all of it? Is it only bad a few feet back? And if so how could you tell through the concrete. Secondly the insurance was not going to pay to remove the flooring and baseboards, the cost of your company removing and replacing the concrete, and putting the flooring and baseboards back together and the painting that would have needed to be done. Your company quoted me 1k to do just the concrete. And the flooring and everything else that would have had to be done would have cost at least another 1k. That would have been all out of pocket for me not covered by insurance. I don't know where you got 500$ from because the repair cost 880 by a reputable plumber that warranties their work, not just some handyman. I had a leak, and now I don't. The fitting they connected it to is just fine and was even inspected by a second person from the company for quality control. I didn't go the cheap rout, I just didn't spend thousands out of pocket to fix something that isn't an issue yet. Funny how you assumed I just had a handyman come fix it for cheap though.
