  Very disappointed in the company. I had them come out to replace a shower cartridge twice within a few weeks and the leak never got better. Got a second opinion and found out the cartridge was never changed. Dishonest company. I was charged both times they came out even though it should have been warrantied.

  My bathroom sink developed a small drip from a pipe under the basin. This was our main bathroom that was used frequently with no problems since it was installed over a year ago. A plumber came out to fix the drip, he said he stopped the drip with a ‘ stiffener” but when he turned the water back on full blast it blew out a connection line to a compression T connecting tube below it. Causing a problem below. I was then quoted almost $800 to fix the new problem , Somehow within less than 30 minutes my little drip had turned into a problem that was going to involve supposedly parts he ( the plumber) didn’t have with him and would take an extensive time to fix. I explained I did not agree with the quote and would not be having the work done I chose to call around for other quotes-. A friend of mine that is not a plumber later looked at the current situation spent less than $10 at Home Depot for all the parts the plumber said it needed but did not have with him. My friend was able to get everything put together with the new parts in less than 30 minutes and now my sink is working perfectly with no drips. I don’t know how this company achieved a 5 star rating on Google. I checked Yelp reviews and they have a 1 star rating there with many stories just like mine. Senior citizens that have small problems and end up with large estimates. The one star rating seems much more accurate. I will never recommend this company to anyone.

  I have had great service from Scott Hale in the past so thought of them when I had clogged drains. They sent a man Edib. The best serviceman I have ever had! He has extensive knowledge of drain/sewer systems and he is like a magical wizard in quickly clearing drains and even told me how to keep them clear. Besides that he is a happy kind person who we enjoyed having in our home. Highly recommend.

  Hot water heater went out on Saturday. Called many places, was very frustrated with their process. Having to collect all my information before telling me if they had any available times that day, only to find out that they didn't or couldn't get there until very late in the day. Scott Hale, on the other hand, was able to check the calendar first, get somebody out to the house early in the afternoon, and replace my water heater all in the same day. Tanner, the technician, was very knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and walked me through different options. I will not hesitate to use them in the future and highly recommend them over services like Next Day and Whipple.

  I want to leave this review thoughtfully because we’ve had great experiences with Scott Hale Plumbing overall. However, I do want to address our interaction with the plumber who came today. Throughout the visit, he directed his explanations only to my husband. When my husband had to step away for a call, I continued the conversation. At that point, the plumber repeatedly mentioned how difficult it would be to explain things and implied that it might be hard for me to understand, suggesting he would prefer to speak with my husband instead. This was confusing, especially since my husband does not work in plumbing or a related field. For context, I am a mechanical engineer and specifically work with piping systems, so I feel very comfortable understanding these types of explanations. I also want to be clear that I fully respect the plumber’s expertise and understand that my role is not the same, that’s why we hired professionals in the first place. However, the issue was not the complexity of the explanation, but the assumption about my ability to understand it. To clarify, I did understand exactly what he was explaining: that the pipe on the right was the kitchen drain, the pipe next to it was the washing machine drain, and both were feeding into a pipe that was too small to handle that volume of water, which caused the overflow. After he left, I asked my husband if he had been asked whether he understood the explanation, and he said he had not. I found this interaction disappointing. It felt dismissive and based on assumptions that shouldn’t be made. I hope this feedback is helpful, as we’ve otherwise had positive experiences and would like to continue using Scott Hale Plumbing in the future.
