Have rented a couple times and waited almost an hour in the parking lot to get loaded this time with several others waiting that came after me. That was after I had stated the “timer” on the rental since I’d already checked out. Tool didn’t work for the job and I was back there an hour later to drop it off and got charged $80 for a tool that didn’t do the job. That was my 2 hr rental charge even though I literally drove 5 min away and connected the tool and when it didn’t work loaded it and brought it right back. That’s happened to me a couple of times there now. They should have given a credit towards a different tool that would work or not charged me. I had called earlier to make sure it was ready to go when I got there just after opening so I didn’t have to waste time and the person loading didn’t even know what I was there for: Taking an hour to load me up and doing that during the time of the rental is frustrating.
Edit after reply by business: I understand the reason for the policy and minimum, I just wish they would have told me that the tool I was going to try wouldn't work and would have suggested something else. I also did not get any help chaining down the attachment. I would have appreciated better service and the staff providing suggestions or at least offering up solutions when I came to return the tool instead of just taking my money and literally saying nothing else. Simply offering to help me by suggesting a different machine and that they could help me with that would have avoided my negative review to begin with. I do appreciate the fact the responded to the review quickly though and hope that in the future I will get better service.

Is a deposit required for a reservation?
For customers without a line of credit, Sunbelt Rentals does not require a deposit to rent tools and equipment. However, you will be asked for payment information when you make your reservation. Your credit or debit card will not be charged for the rental period (one ((1)) day minimum) until you pick up the equipment.
For Credit Customers, we will secure a deposit for your reservation. This deposit will be held within your account until the rental equipment is returned and the contract closed. Apply for a credit account here.
If your project is quick and you only need the equipment for a few hours, Sunbelt Rentals does offer a Rapid Return rate. Return the equipment within four (4) hours of the pickup time and we will refund the difference of the Rapid Return rate. Rates will vary based on product. Call 800-667-9328 if you have any questions.
What if I need to keep my equipment longer?
If you need assistance, please contact the branch of the equipment rental and they can extend the rental for you. When you keep the equipment longer, we will add the additional time and charges to your contract and credit card. Please refer to the rental contract, where the day, week and 4-week rates are shown for each piece of tool and equipment.
Can I return rented equipment at any location?
Typically, equipment should be returned to the same location where you initially rented it. If you need to return it to a different location, please contact the store where you rented the equipment for guidance. It’s advisable to call ahead so we can assist you in finding a convenient alternative location for your return. Your convenience is our priority.
What is the cost for the delivery of equipment to my location?
The delivery charge is calculated based on the category and class of equipment, the location of the rental location, the distance of the project site from the rental location.
Can I get tools and equipment delivered to me?
Yes, Sunbelt Rentals offers convenient delivery options from our extensive network of locations for a reasonable fee. When making a reservation, simply select the delivery option. During the reservation process, you can specify the delivery drop-off date and time, as well as your estimated equipment pickup date. The estimate is for our planning purposes and not a final date.
To initiate our equipment pickup service, you must confirm the end of your rental via the app or by phone. Additionally, if you have specific delivery instructions or prefer a designated contact person for coordination, please include those details when submitting your reservation.
For businesses utilizing a commercial credit account, associated delivery and pickup fees will be reflected in your invoice.
To receive notifications about your delivery, adjust your settings in your account to receive reminders and updates related to your delivery and pickup.
What happens if a tool breaks or quits working while I am renting it?
Sunbelt Rentals inspects and services each piece of equipment prior to each rental and should be in good working order. If you experience problems with the tool while renting it, please go to the specific Equipment Detail page within the reservation to request service. If you need additional assistance, please contact the branch of the equipment rental and they can arrange for next steps or a replacement. If you want to have protection in the event of damage, Sunbelt Rentals offers a Rental Protection Plan (RPP), which can be purchased at the start of your rental.
