  Somewhere along the way in our search for a plumber, we came across Blue Best. I believe we saw it as the Number 1 rated outfit in the state. We took three bids. All were kind, knowledgeable professionals. Blue Best won, by a significant margin. Then came Alma Mccausland. He was such a delight! I had a very big and multifaceted job for him and he patiently ticked through what my options were with each - NEVER trying to sell me anything. Letting me make the choices throughout. He always showed up right when he said he would. And keeping in touch was super important because other contractors were involved so timing was critical. Emails and texts were always returned immediately. Suffice it to say, the work was extraordinary. He left the worksites cleaner than he found them which, WHO DOES THAT? Two of his fellow plumbers had to show up on site for a while when things got rolling, and I'd like to give a shout out to them too: Carson and Shawn. Blue Best is Number 1 for a reason! I'll never use anyone else for plumbing or HVAC work. We are so grateful for finding Blue Best, and particularly, Alma.

  Alma and Carson were my technicians. They were professional and very knowledgeable. They took the time to figure out multiple solutions to my problem and provided pricing for each option. Once I picked an option, scheduling the work to be done was easy. The work created a lot of dust in my utility room (they had to cut a hole through brick into my chimney) and they did a good job of cleaning up. Alma made the point that they would not leave until any mess was cleaned up to my satisfaction which was greatly appreciated.

  WOW! These folks are the best — don’t waste your time reading more reviews, just hire them. I’ve dealt with many HVAC and plumbing companies here in the SLC valley, and their service was light-years better than everyone else. I had a new mini-split system installed. The quote process was easy and straightforward with Dallin. The install team, Rocky and Britton, were professional, extremely clean, and did truly fantastic work on my 100-year-old house. They treated our home as if it were their own and left everything spotless. I also had my existing furnace serviced by Riley, who went above and beyond to answer all my questions and clearly explain how everything works and he left my furnace cleaner than it’s been in years. Everyone I spoke to at the office was quick to respond and very friendly. And to top it all off, it’s a women-owned company, which makes supporting them even more awesome! Highly recommend!!!

  A couple details I appreciated - the company texted me a picture and short bio of each technician before they arrived - so it made me a little more comfortable letting them into my home. Casey, the first technician that showed, took many pictures and video of the problem and took the time to explain it to us. Knowing we’d be without heat for a couple days till they could install the new heater (the low temps were 17 degrees at night and highs of 27 in the day) - he ran back to pick up a couple of electrical heaters for us to borrow. They also came and installed our humidifier a while back. We’ve had nothing but good experiences with this company and their technicians.

  To our recollection we have never posted a negative review, but our experience with Blue Best warrants one. We met with Blue Best late in 2024 to discuss our concern with air temps in our house, specifically temps in our living room and kitchen, which have high ceilings and southern exposure and become uncomfortably hot in summer. We were very clear about our concern, and the salesperson spent hours assessing our home and assured us his proposed system would solve the problem. We accepted the ~$14,000 bid to install a heat pump solution based on that assurance. By summer 2025, the living room and kitchen were still too hot on most sunny days. Despite many service visits and repeated adjustments (baffles, registers, fan speeds, etc.), the issue was never resolved. Blue Best ultimately stated the system was operating as designed and implied the problem was with our home, not their installation.  In our opinion, Blue Best is very good at selling a solution, but not so good at ensuring that solution meets what the customer needs. Two independent HVAC contractors opined: -Our ductwork is in good condition. -The thermostat, furnace, and compressor Blue Best installed were not properly matched. -Basic industry-standard load calculations (e.g., Manual J) were apparently not done, which would have shown the system was undersized for our home’s layout, windows, and sun exposure. Blue Best has declined to remove the system or refund our payment, instead relying on fine print in the contract. We are now pursuing legal options. We have since spent ~$12,000 on a mini-split system from another contractor, which works as intended. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Blue Best and would strongly advise others to look elsewhere.
