We have used WB HVAC and some recent projects. The customer service, communication, and entire job was more than we expected. Using them in the future is an easy decision and so is referring them to others. Highly recommend this team!

We came across Spencer‘s contact information through Facebook, but also simultaneously got a referral to him from a trusted friend. He came out to check out our system after another company told us we needed a full replacement (between $10,000 and $13,000.) This other company was clearly using high-pressure sales tactics which I recognized and did not appreciate. It was very gimmicky. In contrast, I’m super glad that Spencer came, because I felt confident in his experience and expertise, and he was very honest in telling us that our system was still in great shape and had a lot of years of life left. He did acknowledge that there was some wear based on its’ age, but nothing too concerning. Even if he did the (unneeded) repairs that the other company quoted me, his prices were half as much as they had said. He earned my loyalty! When we do need a replacement or repairs down the road, I will go with him!

Spencer and his team did a great job replacing our furnace. They were fair with pricing and great at communicating. Will use them again for future HVAC needs.

The duration of HVAC services varies depending on the type of work required. Typically, service calls are completed in about an hour. For new installations, you can expect the process to take between one to two days on average. We pride ourselves on our quick response times to ensure minimal disruption to your daily routine.
What makes WB HVAC different from other HVAC companies?
At WB HVAC, we prioritize customer satisfaction above all else. Our approach is rooted in education and cost-effectiveness, aiming to help you save both time and money. We differentiate ourselves through our commitment to reliable service, competitive and affordable pricing, and consistently high-quality workmanship. Our goal is to provide a superior customer experience that sets us apart in the HVAC industry.
How often should I change my air filter?
For standard air filters, it's recommended to replace them every one to three months. This frequency helps maintain optimal air quality and system efficiency in your home or business.
How long does an HVAC system last?
The lifespan of HVAC systems varies by component. On average, furnaces typically last between 15 to 20 years. Air conditioners and heat pumps generally have a lifespan of 10 to 15 years. Regular maintenance can help extend the life of your HVAC system.
What is an HVAC system change-out?
A change-out is the replacement of your existing furnace and/or air conditioner with a new system while keeping the existing ductwork (if it's in good condition).
How do I know if I need a system replacement instead of a repair?
You may need a change-out if:
Your system is 12-20+ years old
Repairs are becoming frequent
Energy bills are rising
Your unit uses outdated refrigerant (like R-22)
Repair costs exceed 30-50% of replacement value
How much does an HVAC change-out cost?
Costs vary based on:
System size (tonnage)
SEER rating / efficiency level
Brand
Single-stage vs. multi-stage vs. variable-speed systems
Most residential change-outs range between $7,000-$18,000+ depending on equipment and home size.
How long does a system change-out take?
Most residential replacements are completed in 1 day (6-10 hours). Larger or more complex systems may take longer.
Do I need new ductwork with a change-out?
Not always. If your ductwork is:
Properly sized
Sealed correctly
In good condition
It can usually remain. However, leaky or poorly designed ductwork can reduce efficiency by up to 30%.
What size HVAC system do I need?
Proper sizing requires a Manual J load calculation - not just matching the old unit size. Oversized or undersized systems reduce efficiency and comfort.
Will a new system lower my energy bills?
Yes, modern HVAC systems are significantly more efficient than older models. Many homeowners see 15–40% savings depending on the previous unit’s efficiency.
What SEER rating should I choose?
Minimum standard: 14–15 SEER (varies by state)
Mid-range: 16–18 SEER
High efficiency: 19+ SEER
Higher SEER = more efficient but higher upfront cost.
Are there rebates or financing options?
Many utility companies offer energy rebates, federal tax credits, and low monthly financing options. We can help identify any available incentives for you.
What warranty comes with a new HVAC system?
Most systems include:
10-year parts warranty (with registration)
1–10-year labor warranty (varies by contractor)
Optional extended warranties available
