  Price and support were all reasonable, don't get me wrong. But I spent two days trying to get an EMERGENCY REPAIR, did not happen. Technician called and told me he would be there by midnight if he could get there - did not update me that he wasn't going to make it. Did not answer or get back to my call after multiple hours. Called AH back and asked about the status, was told they would get back to me. Three hours and nothing. On an EMERGENCY. My family is sitting in a ninety degree house with disabilities. Because they will not get back to me.

  Outstanding service from Appalachian Heating! After being without air conditioning for three days, we were more than ready for some relief. Thomas arrived exactly when he said he would, quickly diagnosed the problem, and had our AC up and running in about 30 minutes. What impressed me most was his professionalism, knowledge, and efficiency. He took the time to explain the issue, answered our questions, and made sure everything was working perfectly before he left. Considering this was all done the day before the Fourth of July, when many companies are incredibly busy, the level of service was even more impressive. We couldn't be happier with the experience. If you're looking for honest, reliable, and skilled HVAC service in the Princeton area, I highly recommend Appalachian Heating. Thank you, Thomas, for turning a very frustrating situation into a great customer experience!

  I can't express my gratitude enough to Eli and Kai for all they have done for us in the last 4 days. These two young men showed amazing teamwork and were very courteous to our home and property. They kept us informed about anything that popped up unexpectedly on the job they were doing for us. They used language that we could understand, which really made us feel seen and valued as customers. They were on time every day and always in good spirits with a smile on their faces from the time they arrived until the time they left. They were very patient with us regarding any questions we had while they worked. I loved that they would brief us in the morning on what the day's plan was and at the end of the day on what was left to do the next day. I highly recommend this company and these two fine young men to anyone. I know this will be the only company I will deal with from now on. These two came to our home as professionals to work on what we needed and fulfilled our needs in a timely manner, which was impressive given that this was not a small job. They have amazing critical thinking skills to figure out and fix problems correctly in no time, a quality you don't really see much anymore. Now, I'm proud to say they came to our home as a company and left as family. That's how good this company and these two young men are in every area. They don't treat you like it's just a job; they treat you like they would want their family treated if work was being done for them. I could go on and on about how happy we are with this company and these two amazing, hardworking, respectful, and knowledgeable young men. Thank you again, Eli and Kai, you two are so appreciated more than you could ever know.

  I had my heating cooling and water heater serviced. Jody was very friendly and professional, working quietly and efficiently. He answered all questions and told me what to expect. The cost was a little high due to the fact that I had to have a part replaced on my air pump. I really appreciated the fact that Appalachian Power sent me a picture of my technician before he arrived, so I would know who I was letting into my home. I would highly recommend them and will be using their services in the future.

  Their technician, Mason, was skilled and punctual (brownie points for being good to my dog). I asked for an honest recommendation on whether I should replace my existing mini split, or have the leak on the Schrader valve repaired. He gave his honest assessment of the cost of the repair verses the cost of outright replacing the unit I have. Given it had seven years of hard use, and that the company rates on evacuating and refilling my freon along with the truck charge exceeded 1,200, he felt it could possibly be worth it to consider just outright replacing the whole unit. I appreciated his honest assesment and willingness to forgo hours for the sake of providing an unbiased assessment of risk and reward with the repair. That said, if the company rates on freon weren't so insanely high, im sure his recommendation would have been to just replace the Schrader valve and evacuate/refill the unit. At the end of the day, I opted just to repair it. I would say that technicians honesty is a saving grace for this outfit. I have worked with commercial outfits that charge half what this outfit does for parts and gas. Next time I think I'll shop it out. I wouldnt characterize my experience as explicitly negative, but the company rates for materials are very high. Five stars to their technician, Mason McMullen. Two or three stars to the outfits pricing index.
