  We purchased our home in the Huntfield community in Charles Town, WV, from DRB Homes with high expectations, but our experience after closing has been very disappointing. The biggest issue has been the lack of responsiveness after the sale. While the individual who handles service requests has always been professional, courteous, and genuinely helpful, it appears that he receives very little support from management. Unfortunately, many legitimate concerns simply go unresolved. One of the most common complaints throughout our community has been the sod that was installed. Much of it never established properly, yet homeowners have repeatedly been told that it is not DRB’s responsibility. This is especially frustrating because exterior issues, including landscaping, were represented as items that would be addressed. Before we closed on our home, we were specifically told that our sod would be replaced. That never happened. We have also had trees installed by DRB that have died. Despite reporting the problem, we have received little to no response. These are just a few examples of warranty and service issues that have not been handled as we expected. Perhaps most concerning is that many homeowners in our community have shared similar experiences. There appears to be a consistent pattern of delayed responses, lack of follow-up, and unresolved warranty concerns after closing. Buying a home is one of the largest investments a family makes. We expected DRB Homes to stand behind its product and honor the commitments made during the purchase process. Unfortunately, that has not been our experience. I hope DRB Homes takes these concerns seriously and improves its post-closing customer service. Building quality homes is important, but standing behind them after the sale is just as important.
