Frequently Asked Questions About Maverick Pumping Service
What does it cost to get a drain cleaning?
Maverick Pumping Service offers a variety of drain cleaning solutions, including basic filter cleaning, locating and uncovering manhole covers, augering laterals, water jetting, and camera inspections. Please reach out to our office to discuss your specific concerns and receive pricing information.
What time will you be at my property?
For routing efficiency, we don't provide specific arrival times. If you have special circumstances that require you to be present, we may be able to provide a narrower window. For standard county maintenance pumpings, you can expect us anytime between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM on your scheduled day.
Do you file services with the county?
Yes, we submit all county maintenance pumping records electronically to the county after your payment has been received in full.
How large are your trucks?
Each of our service trucks has a minimum capacity of 5,000 gallons. Please ensure your driveway is clear so our technicians can safely and properly access your tank.
What needs to be exposed, the 26" manhole cover or the 4" PVC pipe?
Every tank includes a 26" manhole cover. Some older systems have covers buried below ground level. Your tank lid must be accessible for our technicians to perform the service. If you're unable to dig it out yourself, we can provide excavation services for an additional fee.
How often do I need my system pumped?
The frequency depends on your system type. Septic systems require a county-mandated inspection every three years. Holding tanks typically need pumping every 4-8 weeks, depending on usage levels.
Where is my tank and how do I know how many gallons it is?
There are several methods to locate your tank. You can contact the county to request a plot plan, which will provide the location details and capacity information for your tank.
How can I pay and do you take payment plans?
Our technicians accept cash or check on-site. For credit or debit card payments, our office staff will be happy to process your payment over the phone. You may also mail payments to PO Box 834, Wautoma, WI 54982.
Do I have a filter? What do I do with it?
If your system was installed in 2000 or later, it's recommended that you remove and clean the filter every 6-12 months.
How do I know if my tank is full?
Your tank is generally at the proper operating level if you can see the inlet baffle. While it may look "full to the top," visibility of the baffle indicates normal function. However, if the tank level reaches into your riser, is within a foot of the cover, or is overflowing from the cover, you need to schedule pumping immediately.
