Today’s engineered options are available prefinished or site-finished, and some can be refinished in the future depending on veneer thickness.

During dry heating seasons, boards may shrink, creating visible gaps, sometimes up to the thickness of a dime. These spaces are more noticeable in lighter woods but usually close as humidity rises.
