  Devin, an Electrical Technician from Cardinal Heating, Cooling, and Electric, removed 17 very old receptacles, along with 5 switches. Initially, the estimate was for grounded receptacles, but since Devin found that the receptacles were grounded in the metal box, I actually saved hundreds of dollars, for 17 regular 3 pronged receptacles, and 5 switches, and 1 unnecessary switch, that he placed a blank plate on for no charge. Devin is a very knowledgeable, honest, and thorough electrician.

  There was some flooding in the area and we were in need of an inspection of our furnace, air conditioner, and water heater. They were able to have technicians to our residence within 24 hours of our call. They offered estimates for repair as well as options for replacement. Within 3 days we had our replacement furnace, air conditioner, water heater, water softener up and running. They were even able to replace the old galvanized pipes. Quick professional service. Great experience all around. Thank you

  Made an appointment for Spring A/C checkup. System needed topping up on refrigerant. They charged me $744 for 2 lbs of R410a which seems very expensive when I found out afterwards that 25 lbs are available online for a quantity 1 price of $250. (I have previously recharged my own system but am frankly getting too old to keep doing it) I have no problems with markup, carrying charges, service charges or a reasonable profit margin but if my math is correct that's a 37x markup which seems really excessive. Additionally, they charged me $391 for a "hard start kit" which I can buy on amazon for as little as $12.99. The most expensive one I could find was $85. Spoke with a representative and they offered to credit the price of the service call. Will most likely look elsewhere for service in the future.

  Aside from a huge window of service wait time, they kept me updated on where they were at and when I was going to be in the following service succession. When they did make it my house, Jeremy was friendly and very forthcoming with everything that was going on with my unit. I went in expecting the worse and got a better answer. I also, asked questions, as I do with everything, I enjoy knowledge and need to know what's happening in my house. He walked me through things and possibly outcomes to keep an eye on for the future. Had a great experience, and will continue on with my services in the future with them.

  I’m very frustrated, but overall I hope my review can be taken as positive constructive criticism. Customer service is 2 stars, not bad to deal with and professional, but you get fielded by a call center first and then they say the local location would call me. I got a call back when I wasn’t available so I had to make time at a later date to get it set up. I missed half a day of work because they can’t do appointments and the best they can do is tell dispatch your preference on time. I explained that this job was not urgent whatsoever and the timing was more important but it seems they just care about keeping their crew busy. I find it hard to believe they can’t do appointments because they scheduled me for next day. Pricing is 0 stars, they quoted me $600 to replace a $13 doorbell transformer and $300 to setup my simpli safe doorbell. Customer service was very vague on initial pricing, I was charged $109 just for them to show up and then an extra $125 for 10 minutes of troubleshooting. My understanding was the $109 would include troubleshooting. When I balked at the troubleshooting rate, Owen pitched their membership program to save the cost but I don’t think that makes any sense unless you expect to have an electrician over all of the time. And by the time you pay $109 just for them to show up you feel obligated to have them troubleshoot and get something out of your payment. I work with electricians every week that troubleshoot medium and high voltage for our operation and they charge $120/hr for a master electrician for 20 years of experience. I wish I would have had them come instead and would already have my problem fixed for 1/3 of the cost. Owen the electrician was helpful, 5 stars I understand the trades have huge challenges hiring for this work, but I was expecting to have a much better overall experience and not be overcharged so much for it. I feel like this company is taking advantage of their customers due to a challenging hiring market for the trades.
