- MSMinnie SinardAug 3, 20261.0I live in a condo, the double glazed glass on my balcony door used to ice up. Wasco was chosen and the salesman explained how their door would not have the same problem due to the superior construction. Well, not only I had ice on the glass, but on the solid surface of the door as well. The storm door has about a 1/2 inch gap on the side instead of being flushed with the building, therefore allowing insects and cold in. The follow up has been that I should use a dehumidifier to lower the humidity level in my condo. The humidity in the winter hovers around 32 to 34%, same as other units and they do not have the ice up problem I have with this door. The salesman did not mention that my old door ice up problem might be due to the humidity level in my unit. He assured me and the condo board, that the construction of their door had such superior energy performance that my days of dealing with ice on the interior side of the door would be a thing of the past. The door looks good and works well, except during the cold days of winter, and we all know how long and cold our winters are.

I sent multiple emails and made several phone calls requesting that a defective door be inspected, but I received little response. My interactions with management were unprofessional and left me feeling that my concerns were not taken seriously. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company.
