  Swapped a kitchen light. Also swapped a ceiling fan. Trouble shot another light. Spent about an hour and a half. Charged $600+. Way excessive. In addition, they charged sales tax. As this was a service to real property, it is not subject to sales tax. We have requested a refund for the tax, but have not heard back from them.

  I moved here to Milwaukee 3 years ago. Went with Burkhardt for two reasons. That’s who my Realtor (who grew up here) recommended BUT MAINLY because once seeing reviews. Very positive ratings, reviews and they are Local. Every time I have used them. Each time the Technician is professional, listens to my input without cutting it short, and has had the knowledge to diagnose my issue quickly and I feel the price is definitely fair. Thanks Burkhardt!

  DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THEIR MEMBERSHIP PROGRAM. They will not cancel it but tell you they did. I called to cancel my membership and was told that it was canceled that day on the phone, but it wasn't. Turns out they have to "send it to someone who can cancel it" but they'll just tell you it was canceled anyway. Then they try to reach out to ask you not to cancel and if you don't answer (because you were told it was already canceled) they just keep charging you. So shady. Just tell me you have to send it to someone else before it's canceled so I at least know what's going on instead of getting sent another bill I wasn't expecting. Never had an issue with their technicians, just with the company itself.

  Because we had a free system maintenance check with the purchase of an air conditioner, the price was right:) I had an appointment to get to, so Carl was very conscientious about getting the furnace and air conditioning done promptly and doing the paper work after to save time. He was also considerate about covering his shoes upon entry. Very good communications, friendly and accommodating.

  We were either sold the wrong units or sales people lied about what they were capable of. The first month everything seemed fine, then it was winter, so we never had the chance to test the cooling performance after. Once summer arrived, we discovered that neither unit could properly cool the space. We purchased two units for a floor that’s not even 1,700 square feet. At the time of purchase, the technician told us each unit would effectively cool up to 1,000 square feet, so we reasonably expected they would be more than adequate. We later paid $100 for a service technician (Alex) to inspect the system. By then, our warranty had expired. After the inspection, we were simply told that these were the correct units—but that they were never going to cool the entire floor. If that’s true, then why were we told they would? We spent a significant amount of money based on those representations, only to find out after the warranty expired that the system could never perform as promised. Extremely disappointing, same your money and do not go to them. Get quote and options from different folks.
