  Had an issue with my water softener so I reached out to Dave Jones Plumbing. Their service rep got right back to me and scheduled a repair tech to come out right away. Scott came to the house, took a look at the problem and clearly explained the repair I needed. Within 20 minutes he had installed a replacement part and everything was fixed and working correctly. Price was fair and everybody was friendly and efficient.

  I wish Google allowed zero stars. This has been an incredibly frustrating experience with Dave Jones, and it goes back to when they originally installed/replaced the hose bib at my home in December 2024 for $500+. I paid Dave Jones to do the work and reasonably expected the equipment they installed—and the installation itself—to last longer than this. Instead, the hose bib was leaking drastically within a year, resulting in additional service calls, discussions about warranty coverage, and now even more charges to fix components of the same system. Dave Jones had previously acknowledged the issue to the point that they offered to waive labor for replacement of the hose bib, while having me pay for parts/materials. When they recently came back out, however, the technician replaced the stem rather than replacing the entire hose bib. A stem is a component of the hose bib assembly. Either the original installation was not done properly or the equipment Dave Jones supplied failed prematurely. Neither situation should result in the customer repeatedly paying to correct the problem. Despite that, I was charged a $100 dispatch fee and then told I owed another $207 for the stem repair. At no point before that repair was performed was I told that it was going to cost $207. Had that price been disclosed to me, I absolutely would not have authorized it. Now Dave Jones is claiming that because the technician repaired the stem instead of replacing the entire hose bib, the repair is somehow completely separate from the warranty issue. I find that explanation ridiculous. This service call would never have been necessary if the hose bib system they installed had been functioning properly in the first place. What has bothered me most throughout this experience is the complete lack of accountability. I have spent thousands of dollars with Dave Jones, yet when something involving their own installation or equipment goes wrong, I am apparently expected to continue paying service fees and repair charges while they find technical distinctions to avoid taking responsibility. I gave them multiple opportunities to make this right before leaving this review. Their response was to insist that both the $207 repair charge and the $100 dispatch fee remain due. After the amount of money I have spent with this company, I expected them to stand behind their workmanship and the equipment they install. Based on my experience, they have not. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
