We had some plumbing related work done. Running toilet. Leaking faucet. I've seen the trucks around and always associated them with just heating & cooling. But in looking for plumbers, I saw the name and thought I'd give them a try. Not disappointed. They provided various options to resolve my problems. Then did exceptional work. We'll definitely give them a call to assist when we go through some planned remodeling in the future.

My A/C was no longer cooling during a EXTREMELY hot and humid stretch this past July and after a miserable experience with the HVAC company I had previously used for over 5 years I called Black Haak. I new from my initial phone call I made the right decision. All personal I spoke with at Black Haak were very professional and they worked to provided me the relief needed asap. The pricing for a new A/C unit installed was where I expected and the installation went seamlessly. The installers arrived on time and never stopped working even during a thunderstorm. Once the installation was completed the lead installer took the time to give me a detailed walkthrough of the work completed. The entire experience was like watching a well oiled machine from my initial phone call, to the sales representative working a quote to scheduling the installation to the actual install. Everything was completed in 3 business days. I have and will continue to recommend Black Haak.

We had Black Hawk Heating & Cooling come out when our A/C started leaking water everywhere, and we couldn’t have been happier with their service! Every technician who came out was knowledgeable, professional, and did everything they could to diagnose and fix the problem. Unfortunately, after their best efforts, it became clear that our system needed to be replaced. The team was incredibly efficient and timely throughout the entire process. They made sure we weren’t left without A/C during the blistering summer heat. We also had the opportunity to work with the manager, who was absolutely great and made the whole experience as smooth as possible. They went above and beyond and had our new indoor and outdoor A/C system installed **the very same day**. They got the necessary parts quickly and had everything up and running in no time! We **1000% recommend Black Hawk Heating & Cooling** if you’re looking for knowledgeable technicians, excellent customer service, fast response times, and efficient, effective work. They truly took care of us from start to finish!🙌❄️

We scheduled a service appointment for an assessment/inspection of our air conditioning unit to diagnose an issue and determine whether repairs were needed. During the visit, the technician performed repair work, including replacing wiring on the unit. No member of my household authorized repairs, approved an estimate, signed a work order, authorization form, or invoice. We were subsequently charged and required to pay immediately. Following the service call, we never received an invoice or documentation supporting the charges. I contacted the company multiple times requesting an invoice and to speak with management. My first two attempts were unsuccessful. It was not until I informed the receptionist that I intended to file a complaint that management finally returned my call. I requested that management contact me directly, as I was handling the matter. Instead, they contacted my husband, who then had me speak with them. During that conversation, management did not provide a name to me and stated that repairs had been made, which was the reason for the charge. Throughout the conversation, the manager was rude, dismissive, and repeatedly interrupted me. Rather than addressing my concerns regarding the lack of authorization, he repeatedly attempted to justify the charges by stating that repairs had been completed. I acknowledge that I raised my voice out of frustration from being continuously interrupted, only to then be told that I was not acting appropriately. I explained that I had not used vulgar language, was not being condescending, and had repeatedly asked him to stop interrupting me. There was no acknowledgment from management that performing and charging for repairs without authorization was improper. When I expressed concern that failing to provide an invoice was unethical, the manager argued with me rather than addressing the issue. I informed him that I have video footage of the interaction between my husband and the technician, which shows that no authorization was signed or verbally provided for repairs to be performed. The manager stated that the company would issue a refund and send someone to retrieve the materials that had been installed. Due to management's constant interruption, dismissive and unprofessional conduct, it became impossible to have a productive discussion. I did not feel comfortable continuing the conversation. I informed them that I would be filing a complaint with the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) and ended the call. I still have not received any invoice, work order, estimate, or other documentation related to the service call. Wisconsin consumer guidance states that businesses may not charge for unauthorized goods or services under Wis. Stat. § 100.195

So my house was hit in the Menasha Tornado and my service mask was damaged so I reached out. I was told I had to pay everything as soon as work is done which ok fine but I needed a quote. I’m on disability income and am down to under 1000.00 and no way of making more. I explained this and even said my insurance would cover but they were adamant I had to pay right away and not only that I had to pay 99.00 dollars just to get the quote! Bare in mind I didn’t even know I had enough money in my account to pay them yet the wanted me to fork over 99 dollars to find out if I do have enough money to pay for job! They are supposed to be a local company which you would think they would find a way to work with you in a natural disaster. The kicker, they had a recognition a few houses down from me when I called. The could have easily just had him swing by, check out the damage to get an estimate so I would know if I had enough to pay the upfront. I explained everything and they did literally nothing to work with me in my situation. Mind you they were always going to get their money because insurance covered it. Zero looking out for the community members that were impacted by a horrible tragedy! I did get another electrician who by the way gave me an estimate just through pictures and is not requiring me to pay any money upfront as they will go through insurance. This allows me to now to pay for gas for my generator and food until I get paid 2/3 the way into August. I have thousands of dollars of meds in my refrigerator so I get to keep them safe no help to black haak electric! Thy are not a company to work with you period!
