- BLBill LindstedtJul 28, 20261.0I bought the Generac 16kW Air-Cooled Standby Generator from ADAMS back in 2020. Spent $6500 on a generator with them and used them for annual service until they raised their $279 annual service to over $430 with some subscription you have to purchase. Yesterday we had some nasty storms and knocked out power. This is the first time my generator did not kick on. I called ADAMS three times starting at 3:24 pm yesterday. Left a message and then was able to get someone in billing that took down my info. No call back at all. Called my salesman Don Jackson on his cell. He is now with Home Backup Systems. Their tech came out within 15 minutes of me calling them. I highly suggest you try Home Backup Systems in Ft. Atkinson over ADAMS. Sad what has happened to ADAMS Electric.
