  Total Comfort was very prompt with returning my call and was able to get to the job the same day. Lon was polite and thoroughly explained what the problem was. He made sure to tell me the approximate cost we were looking at spending. Upon completion, he took pictures to show the before and after, and followed up with a phone call to make sure we were happy with the service. We will definitely use this company again. Thank you!

  Josh was most helpful in assessing my home cooling and heating system, which is old with unknown updates done through the years, giving me helpful and thorough information, and recommendations to consider. He replaced my “smart” thermostat with what I consider a normal one, A/C now works much better. He discovered and removed a very old and dirty formerly unnoticed filter. Even though it was late in his workday he took plenty of time to answer my questions. I highly recommend.

  Had Lon out here a couple of times to work on the water heater replacement with a temporary offset and reset. Did a great job. Took care of everything related to the plumbing for the remodeling contractor to come in once the floors are dry. When I mentioned there was something wrong with the AC he called someone and had a HAVAC tech come in the next day. I really appreciate the way he coordinated with the restoration contractor as well.

  I have never had some one try to hustle me the way Matt Hargrave did. Once I told him I couldn't pay $700 for a capacitor that costs $20 a the department store or cheaper online. He turned up the heat and said my coolant needing recharged that will be $700. I said "No" he then went and opened my unit inside and said " looks like you will be needing an entirely new unit. That's gonna cost you anywhere between 15 to 30 grand we have financing through Wells Fargo." (Mind you before he turned up the hustle and tried to scare me into all these problems he had told me I was right on about what I thought the problem was. ) I again told him "No I'm not doing that." Then he started pressing me hard trying to fear monger me into all this work. I stood my ground and told him "No you're not going to hustle me." We stood in my living room at a 1000 yard stare down and when he realized I was not gonna bend to his will. He went to trying to lock me into a maintenance plan where i pay $260 a year up front or 130 each time he comes out. I said "Nope." I told him I would gladly pay him double his service call for his time and knowledge, but you're not gonna hustle me. He told me. Unfortunately, there are service tecs in the industry that do that. And he is not one of them. I was blown away by that statement. Apparently how he treated me is industry standard. I'm sure Total Comfort Solutions is a legit awesome company. I was not impressed Matt Hargraves. His ways were predatory. Praying on the weak to make a buck.

  My family has had service from TCS for over 15 years, however, recently the service has become terrible and we will be looking at switching to one of their competitors. This spring they came to do pumping inspection/maintance as part a service contract. Amoung other issues, the tech broke a magnetic safety lock on one of our cabinets because he forced it open instead of using the magnet and we had to fix it at our own expense, rather than the tech or company doing anything about the damage they caused. Then more recently they tried to sell us duct and heat pump cleaning for $7000 and in addition to that $1500 for labor on an AC unit that they installed 3 years ago, that has had leaks reported multiple times but they didn't fix until after the labor warranty ended. There proof that this was needed was that the system that was turned off (replaced by heat pumps) wasn't blowing cold air when they turned it on. When questioned on the price for the cleaning they stated that it was $1500 per system we had ducted (we have two), and there only defense for the cost was how much the matchine to do it costs. It also felt like they were scrambling to come up with an excuse for how massively over priced it was. Based on the high end of googled costs $1500 is what the total cost should be our whole house not $1500 each. They then stated that each of the heat pump mini splits was being charged at $750 each, and then another $1000 for cleaning the main units. Based on Googling the amount they charge for each unit is the high end of what the whole thing should cost locally. Their claim for what they would be doing was about 4 hours of work with maybe two techs, at $7000 instead of online saying the high end costs should have been maybe $2500. While I understand that googles estimates may be inaccurate, I fail to see how it can even possibly be reasonable to charge anywhere near that much to clean a system that has no sign of mold or mildew, or odors. Nor systems that are between 1.5 and 3 years old. Based on all of this I feel they were trying to scam my elderly mother and would strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere.
