I was not impressed with my experience with Service Patriots. I received a quote of approximately $28,000 for attic and crawl-space work. During the sales process, I was told the quoted price would not last and was offered approximately a $5,000 discount, bringing the price to around $23,000. I felt this created unnecessary pressure to make a decision quickly. Since then, I have received substantially lower pricing for comparable work from other contractors, including contractors vetted through Clark Public Utilities. Based on the quotes I have received, Service Patriots' pricing was significantly higher. I have also received follow-up calls asking whether I wanted to move forward with the original quote. After comparing pricing and contractors, I chose not to proceed with Service Patriots. For anyone considering this type of work, I recommend getting multiple quotes and reviewing the contractor resources available through Clark Public Utilities before making a decision.

Mikey is one of their top diagnostics technicians with a ‘customer first’ philosophy. My system froze up—literally—and he did all the necessary evaluation to see if the system could be saved. He explained the situation in plain language, was very transparent about options. I could see the great respect his team members had for his assessment. Thumbs up to Mikey and the Service Patriots team.

In March of 2025, my wife and I went to Home Depot and saw the $49 AC Tune-up special. We called, and Service Patriots was assigned to us. The tune-up guy came out and found some rust on our heater pipes. The next day, we received a call that they wanted to let us know about the safety issue with our current system. Effectively, a scare tactic sales pitch that we fell for. We had not only the HVAC at our primary residence replaced, but also the HVAC system as our rental across the street (it was time, 25+ years old). The price was high, but they could install the next day. Installation did take 2 days. And, I did have to call them back to properly install (level) the outside compressor unit. It was teetering on some piers. Goodman brand products. I like Goodman. The system has worked great. Part of the sale was 3 years of annual maintenance. So, in April of 2026, I called to schedule the annual maintenance. It was 4 weeks out. The day before, they cancelled due to the tech being sick and being short staffed. Our appointment was then scheduled for 6 weeks later. The appointment took 2+ hours. They tried to upsell me on stuff the tech said should have been discussed during installation. It never was. At that same time, we scheduled the annual maintenance on the rental unit. It was going to be 2.5 months until that appointment. Well, that was supposed to be tomorrow. We decided to call earlier today to confirm. My wife was told that she would receive a call back within an hour. 5 hours later, nothing. We called again. (3:30pm). I was told that they needed to cancel due to the tech being sick and being short staffed. (sound familiar?). We are irate. Horrible customer service, overpriced, scare tactics for sales and they try to upsell at every corner. For a company that states "We are committed to the customer experience", "Delivering 100% Satisfaction – Or else we’ll make it right for you." and "Honoring Our Clients – We will do what’s right for your home, and respect your time and your property." I have not found any of that to be true. All hat and no brim. Do not work with this company.

★★★★★ I'd been looking for Outstanding HVAC & A/C Service in Gresham, Portland & Southwest Washington. I’m not easily impressed when it comes to service—and I’ve been using the same HVAC company for many years. So when I was encouraged to give Service Patriots a chance, I was definitely willing to see if they could earn my trust. The introduction happened completely by chance while I was running an errand at Lowe’s. A genuinely kind young man approached me and asked whether I had scheduled my seasonal A/C and HVAC maintenance. He explained what Service Patriots could offer and simply asked for an opportunity to earn my business. They did. Service Patriots sent Meshach, and I have to say: this is the kind of technician every company should want representing them. Meshach was thorough from beginning to end. He cleaned and vacuumed each unit throughout the system, then went outside and hosed down and descaled the outdoor unit. The level of attention to detail was impressive. He didn’t simply do the minimum maintenance and leave—he actually took the time to care for the entire system. And the difference was obvious. I have had HVAC maintenance performed by my previous company for years, and what Meshach did was far and above anything I expected based on my previous experiences. The equipment was left looking exceptionally clean, and I felt like the system had received a genuinely comprehensive service rather than a routine check-the-box visit. Just as important, the communication was excellent. Meshach was professional, personable, respectful, and extremely easy to communicate with. He built rapport naturally, explained what he was doing, and made the entire experience comfortable. For homeowners in Gresham, Portland, and the surrounding Southwest Washington area, finding a dependable company for A/C and HVAC maintenance matters. After this experience, I understand why Service Patriots was confident enough to approach me at Lowe’s and ask for the opportunity to earn my trust. They earned it. If Meshach is an example of the standard Service Patriots expects from its technicians, I would absolutely recommend giving this company a chance. My first experience went from “I’ll give them a try” to “I’m genuinely impressed.” Service Patriots, you have a customer who is very happy to have made the switch. And Meshach—you did a fantastic job. Thank you! Part 2: A Simple Mistake, an Easy Fix — And Another Reason I Trust Service Patriots While writing my first review, I went outside to photograph the A/C compressor and noticed it humming strangely—the fan wasn't spinning! I shut the system off and called Service Patriots. I believe I reached Crystal or Diane, and from the moment I explain what was happening I was immediately made to feel heard and helped and understood. Meshach was already heading home, but arrangements were made for someone to come out the next day. Sean arrived and found the problem right away: a simple unplugged connection. Easy mistake to make, even easier for THEM to fix! Sean didn't just plug it back in and walk away, either. He tested the system, verified that cool air was blowing, and checked temperatures at multiple vents to make sure the A/C was actually doing what it was supposed to do. And then came my favorite part. While Sean was finishing up the paperwork, Meshach called him. The two of them exchanged some genuinely funny, good-natured banter. It was one of those little moments that tells you a lot about a company. These weren't people simply passing jobs back and forth—they clearly knew each other, enjoyed working together, and cared about getting the customer taken care of. So yes, Part 1 was about how impressed I was with Meshach's A/C and HVAC maintenance. Part 2 is about what happened when something unexpectedly went wrong afterward. And truly! It made me trust Service Patriots even more. Because we find out who people are in stressful or mistake-type situations. Another big ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for Service Patriots serving Gresham, Portland, and Southwest Washington!

THESE GUYS ARE SCAMMERS. Some dudes at Home Depot approached me for this tune up special. At the time it was a good deal so I agreed. They came out said my unit was cracked but in reality it never was. And told me they had to shut off my unit some other reviewer had something similar happen to them. They’re very aggressive with sale tactics too. They seem nice at first but they’re just professional scammers. In the end I said no to the new units they wanted to sell me and I had another technician come out and fix it for 150!!!!! Which is so much better than paying the thousands of dollars they wanted please be aware of these guys and watch them if they work on you’re unit so they don’t tamper with it like they did with mine.
