I had Brennan install a new furnace and heat pump in July 2017. Unfortunately, my experience since then has been disappointing. Just one week after installation, the system stopped working and required a service call while we were out of town. They fixed it pretty quickly. 2021, the fan motor and blade failed and had to be replaced during a stretch of weather that was over 90 degrees. The parts were under warranty, but I still had to pay labor costs. To minimize the number of people coming into my home, I specifically requested the same technician who had previously worked on the unit. I was told the appointment would need to be scheduled further out to accommodate that request, which I agreed to despite the heat. When the appointment day arrived, the technician who showed up was not the person I had requested. I ended up waiting longer for no reason while dealing with temperatures above 90 degrees. 2025, the thermostat failed during January when temperatures were freezing. I was told only a Lennox thermostat would work with the system, resulting in a replacement cost of about $1,000. It took roughly a week to get a service appointment and another week for the part to arrive. During that time, I had to call Brennan myself to find out whether the part had come in. 2025, I called to schedule maintenance because I never received the reminder calls I had received in the past. While waiting for the appointment, the A/C stopped working. Once again, the fan motor and blade had failed. The parts were covered under warranty, but I paid another service fee plus labor charges. Most recently, when I called in June 2026 to schedule maintenance, I was told the earliest appointment was July 31. I asked why I had not received a maintenance reminder and was told those are only provided to customers on a maintenance plan. After reviewing my account, the representative discovered that my previous visit had only been a repair and not a maintenance service. What frustrates me is that no technician informed me of that at the time, discussed any maintenance recommendations, or explained that my annual maintenance had not been performed. Since Brennan only performs maintenance annually, that meant my system went two years without a maintenance inspection, and I had no idea because no one communicated that to me. After I hung up from scheduling the July 31 appointment, I immediately started calling other HVAC companies because I no longer have confidence in Brennan's service. I spent approximately $20,000 on this furnace and heat pump system and expected better reliability, communication, and customer support. Instead, I've dealt with multiple breakdowns, repeated labor charges on warranty repairs, long waits during extreme weather, and poor communication regarding maintenance and service. For a company that installed and has serviced the system from the beginning, I expected a much higher level of customer care.

Terrible Service and Horrible Company We are completely dissatisfied with our experience with Brennan and strongly warn others against using this company. Our family purchased an air conditioning system through Brennan for nearly $30,000, expecting professional workmanship, quality engineering, and long-term reliability. Instead, what we received was an installation that appeared rushed, careless, and completely lacking in proper design consideration. The hoses and wiring were run directly through the house with little regard for aesthetics, engineering fit, or overall quality of installation. It looked more like a temporary shortcut solution than a professionally installed high-end HVAC system. To make matters worse, the system failed after just 3 years and 9 days — literally nine days after the warranty expired. For a system of this price and supposed quality, this is completely unacceptable. When we contacted Brennan for support, the experience only deteriorated further. The technician sent to evaluate the system was sub-par and ultimately recommended using a sealant solution that would effectively shorten the lifespan of the unit rather than properly addressing the underlying issue. Instead of standing behind their work or offering meaningful support for a clearly premature failure, Brennan seemed more interested in pushing a temporary patch job and moving on. At every stage of this process, Brennan has demonstrated poor workmanship, poor customer service, and a complete lack of accountability. We deeply regret trusting this company with such a major investment in our home. We will absolutely be recommending to Costco that Brennan be removed as a service provider, as no customer spending this kind of money should be subjected to this level of incompetence and disregard.

This review covers the installation and lifespan of a Lennox central air condition system I had installed by Brennan. In May 2016, I purchased the system via Costco and Brennan performed the install. When I purchased the system the salesman advised it should last about 20 years. The system was installed and immediately had problems. The first issue was the installed coil failed (system blew warm air) within two weeks of installation and had to be replaced. It took three visits for Brennan to figure out the coil was the problem. They initially replaced the compressor but that was not it. They ultimately had to send out “one of their best guys” who determined it was the coil. The coil ended up being replaced at no cost, but the repair was not quick. I think I was up and running by mid-June. Brennan was not in a big hurry to get me up and running. I had maintenance performed nearly every year which consisted of a tech checking the system, but they never cleaned the coil or anything so I am not sure how much maintenance was actually performed. The system performed well until I fired it up for the season at the end of May 2021. I noticed the system wasn’t cooling the home as quickly as usual. I scheduled a service call and Brennan sent out a tech a week or so later. I changed the furnace filter the day before the tech came out, and after checking the system, he believed the problem was the filter I had replaced (garbage went out day before and he never saw it – it was not dirty). In the days after he left the system ran again and I could tell nothing changed. I then called Brennan to send out a tech for the annual maintenance. The tech came out during at the end of June 2021 right in the middle of the infamous heat dome. I told him of the problems I was having and he determined the system was low on refrigerant. He actually replaced it at no cost which actually saved Brennan in keeping my business. It is important to note that Brennan would not combine the service call and the annual maintenance together so I had to schedule two separate appointments and pay for each. The 2022, I had Brennan perform annual maintenance and the same tech who came out during the heat dome advised the system was again low on refrigerant so there must be a micro leak. He topped of the system, which I had to pay for and is understandable, and the system ran fine for the summer. In 2023, I had Brennan perform annual maintenance and a different tech came out and determined the system was low on refrigerant so there was a leak. He topped of the system with refrigerant, which I had to pay for, and put dye into the system to detect the leak. The leak was not found. In 2024, I had Brennan perform annual maintenance and the last tech came out again and determined the system was low on refrigerant. He topped of the system with refrigerant, which I had to pay for, and tried to look for the leak but could not find one. He suspected it was the high pressure switch on my Lennox system, so he torqued it. In 2025, I had Brennan perform annual maintenance and the last tech came out again and everything appeared to be fine. In May 2026, I turned on my system for the season and it blew warm air. I immediately suspected the coil had failed since it reminded me of the issue when the system was first installed. I had Brennan perform a service call and indeed the coil had failed. It was still under warranty for a few more weeks, so the coil would be free but the cost for labor and refrigerant would be about $2,000. At this point, I just wanted the system out of my house. So this week I had a different company install a new air conditioning system, and a different brand.

I had a furnace and heat pump installed from Brennan in 2018..I get a call the day of the installation and the salesperson said the heat pump that was sold to me was not in the warehouse..He promises me an upgrade..The heat pump they bring out is for a big commercial building..I was told later by another HVAC company ...this heat pump and furnace will turn on and off more than a normal heat pump which is when the most wear of a system is caused..Brennan also installed a furnace at a rental property... a valve inside the furnace they installed has a small gas leak..Best Choice calls Lennox and Lennox says Brennan never registered my furnace within the 60 day registration period required to get a 10 year warranty...I have to spend over 990 $ for labor and a valve that should be free...Just a word of advice...look at Brennans worst reviews before you call this company...I left a message with Brennan's secretary and was promised a call back this morning by 9am...I never received a call back. (added to my earlierpost)>>>.I looked at my cell phone ..my wife's cell phone and my land-line No one from Brennan has called me back..I received a call back finally at 130 pm...not in the morning like Brennan's reply suggests...They wanted to charge me a service call to inspect the gas valve that was confirmed leaking by Puget Sound Energy and Best Choice ... Lennox said that Brennan did not register my furnace within the 60 day registration period unlike the reply from Brennan It's sad people from Costco don't know what Brennan is like... Costco's preferred heating contractor...

Pathetic customer service. Their technician was supposed to arrive between 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. No one ever showed up. I called at 3:00 pm to check and they mentioned the technician will be there in 20-30 minutes. Even got a text and an email that the technician will be home soon. But again no one showed up. Stay away from Brennan for any HVAC work, their service is very poor
