Steven came today for a crawlspace and attic inspection. Very polite and professional. He thoroughly completed the inspection and went over the details with me in depth. We got work scheduled (with a super quick turn around time) and scheduled Robinson Restoration to come out this afternoon to give a quote on fixing a leak that was found in the attic inspection. Overall outstanding service!!! Highly recommend!!!

I recently had a brand new, first time ever Heat Pump (Hybrid) installed by Black Hills Heating & Cooling, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. From start to finish, the experience was professional, transparent, and stress-free. They even upgraded my old gas furnace! First, a huge thank you to Jason B., who handled my free initial consultation. He provided an incredibly thorough breakdown of all my options and took the time to answer every single question I had without any high-pressure sales tactics. It was clear he wanted me to have the right system for my home, not just the most expensive one. He was even available when I had other questions during the install process. The installation itself was great. Brady S. arrived on time and worked diligently to get the main equipment set up. It's a 30-year-old home, so there were a few places where the old furnace equipment caused some removal issues, but I expected that and he handled it quite well—fixing or replacing whatever came up to ensure the job was done right. He was respectful of my home and kept the workspace clean throughout the day. To wrap things up, Ethan B. came by the next day to finalize a few remaining items and ensure everything was calibrated perfectly and to our liking. He went through a detailed explanation of how our new thermostat and hybrid heat pump/furnace work together vs how our old single stage furnace system worked. Which was so helpful since the new system is so different from before. He answered questions before I even knew I had a question! ;). It’s wonderful to find a company where every person you interact with is this knowledgeable and dedicated, and has outstanding customer service! To everyone involved with this project, thank you, thank you, thank you!!

We recently had a heat pump installed by Black Hills Inc. and had an excellent experience from start to finish. Everyone we worked with was polite, professional, and efficient. The installation team was organized and respectful of our home, and everything went smoothly. Ethyn took the time to explain everything clearly and reviewed all the work that had been completed, which we really appreciated. It’s refreshing to work with a company that truly values customer service and communication. We highly recommend Black Hills Inc. for anyone considering a heat pump installation or HVAC work.

I used Black Hills for a furnace replacement as well as a mini split install. They got me by stating they would install new hardware to include vents. They specifically stated they would not use old plenum boxes or anything else that directly attaches to the new units. A few years have gone by and I have since dropped Black Hills as my service provider for AC and heating. I found that the technicians who installed my furnace used a plenum box made from old pieces of foam board and duct tape. To cap it all off they used a cookie sheet pan duct taped to the top. My mini split does not push hot or cold air anymore. When I took a look behind the mini-split pump cover the drain lines were kinked causing flow of water to stop. The technicians were very young and did not have years of experience. In fact, they had to stop during installation to call their supervisor on how to install the equipment. I was charged $20k for their work. When I asked about new ducting they refused to install metal duct and tried selling me flexible plastic ducting and quoted me $7,000 to install roughly 12’ of flex ducting. On top of all of this their other services are shady. I was told by a plumbing technician he would scope my sewer line for free but there was another technician who holds on to the line scope. He does this so he can charge whatever he likes despite being told I’d have a free inspection. That technician came out, took about 3 minutes to scope the line and gave me bad information on where the sewer line was located and charged me for their brief inspection. Avoid Black Hills.

Black Hills is a fine organization but I really wanted to shout out to Justin. He is quite the professional and an extremely experienced craftsman! I asked for a plumber because I am terrified of dealing with water because of a home flooding a few years back. I will always gladly pay out of pocket for a professional to do the work. With that being said, I don't want to be gouged. Justin heard my problems and recommended solutions. I think we all are fearful that someone will upcharge of sale you products. That is absolutely NOT the case with Justin. I would have gladly paid for specific services that he talked me out of because he knew this wasn't necessary. Because of Justins professionalism, expertise, and timely efficient work I will absolutely call Black Hills for all my heating, plumbing, and electrical. I would recommend this company to anyone that requires assistance. Moreover, I will direct everyone to request Justin as their service provider. I will keep his card and ask always specifically for Justin. Thanks Black Hills for the help over the weekend and thank you Justin. Regards!
