Seatown came to replace a shower cartridge. The spout was dripping. They estimated $600.00 to fix. The tech took out the old one, then found he did not have a replacement in his truck. He put the old one back in. Within an hour we had water pouring from inside the shower wall into the basement storage. The tech had inspected the basement before he started and it was completely dry. Seatown could not find an emergency plumber that evening. (6pm). The next morning Seatown sent out 2 techs to document the damage. NOT to do the repair. They did not have the part either. I asked if I went to get the part, would they please repair it ? They agreed. I went to Aurora plumbing who said it was a common part and I got it. The Seatown techs replaced it and the leaking stopped. The tech spoke with his supervisor Eric, and the tech, Quinn said Eric advised that I did not have to pay for the service and they would cover any damages. What a nice surprise! About 10 minutes later Quinn got a call and he was frowning. He got off the phone. He said, "that was the big boss and he said they were not going to cover any costs". I couldn't believe it. The 2nd tech, Adam said he was sorry. He says it was embarrassing. I had several conversations Justin who I believe us the big boss. He told me to submit it to my insurance company. I told him that they won't cover it because Seatown caused the flood. The boss was rude and sarcastic. He said he would contact a company they use to mitigate flood damage. It has been over a week and I have heard nothing. I have called several times and no one has returned my calls. I contacted flood mitigating company and he said just the basics, are going to cost over $6,000.00. He advised that something needed to be done within 48 hours or there would be a mold problem. There is no doubt that this water damage was caused by a Seatown tech. The boss said if I wanted them to cover it, I would have to sue them. Who runs a company that way ? I would not advise anyone to use this company. Errors happen, but the way they handled it is adding insult to injury. I will say the techs were polite and professional. But they couldn't even believe that Seatown had withdrawn their offer since it was obvious that it was a case and effect when the previous tech had removed and put back in the old cartridge.

When we accidentally hit a water line, we knew exactly who to call. What started out as a nightmare experience ended up being positive all around! This happened on a Sunday, and when we called… 1) I spoke to “Tucker” (who was clearly AI) assured me that someone was on their way and because of our membership, it was a $0 estimate. (I’m a big fan of AI, but not so much in this example.) 2) Then I received a text from someone saying they could send someone out but it would be a high after hours cost. 3) Then I I received another message from a different number saying that nobody was available today and that I needed to schedule an appointment for the following day. 4) Then… If you can believe it… I received another message, from another different number, that confirmed our appointment for that day (Sunday). Needless to say, we were incredibly confused. We decided to just leave it alone, and see what happened and would call them on Monday. Thankfully, Troy showed up first thing on Monday morning, told us what we needed to do (dig around the pipe), and said they’d be back the next day to fix it. Sure enough, Troy and Ross were back on Tuesday morning at 8 AM to fix the problem. Even with a surprise issue, they had everything fixed in about an hour. They were also incredibly kind! I do wish I have been able to receive some sort of documentation prior to signing and paying, but that is minor and likely a me issue. Overall, I still recommend the company and we are still members… but suggest waiting for office hours to contact!

Recently spent close to $15000 installing a new 200 amp electrical panel in my home after debating it over the past few years and finally pulling the trigger after my yearly electrical/HVAC/plumbing inspection as a Seatown member. 4+ weeks post installation I’ve been completely unable to get in contact with anyone that can answer outstanding questions I have related to the installation which included damage to my personal property. I no longer have interest in maintaining my membership with this company as it’s become increasingly clear NO amount of money you spend with them will matter or impact customer service. Beyond the outstanding questions. Things I would consider a basic expectation or at least something that would’ve been clearly communicated to me without having to ask myself is whether there would be holes left in my drywall. When asked I was informed they could recommend me a contractor to fix damage they caused and never had any plans of telling me how to address. It would have been nice to keep in mind that Seatown can only install electrical panels and not fix dry wall they cut out. They were nice enough to tape it up after installation though. Really disappointed in this service as I had been happy with them up until this point. But it seems asking a service provider clarifying questions on a big ticket job after they’ve marked the job complete is a waste of time and effort. Do not recommend engaging in business with this company.

1/5 Stars – Classic Bait-and-Switch Tactics & Outrageous Quotes Be extremely cautious if you decide to hire Seatown Electric. My experience with them was a masterclass in bait-and-switch pricing and inflated quotes. Bait-and-Switch Diagnostic: Their website advertises a $49 diagnostic fee. However, once the technician arrived, he tried to present me with a $320 bill just for showing up and looking around. I had to push back directly to get him to honor the actual $49 fee posted on their site. Inflated Repair Costs: Once the diagnostic fee was forced back down to $49, the technician attempted to turn around and charge $230 just to replace a single breaker. Absurd Estimates: To top it off, they provided estimates that were completely out of touch with reality for a modest 900-square-foot apartment: $4,000 just to replace an electrical panel, and nearly $25,000 to rewire the unit. Instead of fair pricing and honest diagnostic work, it felt like an aggressive attempt to overcharge at every turn. Get a second and third opinion from an independent, reputable electrician before agreeing to any work from this company.

I deeply regret choosing Seatown Electric for our electrical work. We initially hired them because we were on a tight deadline and they were able to come out right away. We initially liked our quote representative, Matt, who seemed knowledgeable and was very responsive to texts, even outside of normal business hours. However, everything changed once we discovered he had incorrectly billed us over $2,000 for work that was never performed. As soon as that billing error was brought to light, Matt completely stopped responding. From there, trying to resolve the issue became a nightmare of administrative roadblocks designed to avoid customers. Calling the main office is nearly impossible. You are trapped in an endless loop with an unhelpful AI agent. When you finally reach a human, they simply forward you to voicemail—which cuts you off after just 3 seconds, making it impossible to even leave your name. Their staff directory lists only five extensions, half of which don't even include names, and they provide no direct email addresses for billing or project administration. When I tried to contact my project coordinator, Kelsey, I was told she works early and leaves early, making her 'hard to catch'. Yet, calling at 7:00 AM yields no answer because it is allegedly too early. Requests to speak with a supervisor are similarly met with excuses that management is always conveniently out. After weeks of runaround, they claimed a refund would take a month to process because it required supervisor approval. Now, over a month later, there is still no sign of a refund, no response from Seatown, and the loan company has confirmed they have never heard of a refund taking this long. Reading other customer reviews, it appears that Seatown Electric actively avoids customer service and only responds once negative public reviews are posted and reports are filed with agencies like the FTC and the BBB, so apparently that's what we need to do next.
