I wanted to buy my front door locally and although they only have 3 stars on Yelp and 3.7 on Google, I took my chances with Builders FirstSource hoping they'd prove the ratings wrong. I've also heard from locals who have had a bad experience not to use BFS. Well the ratings and rumors proved to be right! From the beginning of my order process with Sean and Bill, I've been disappointed. I waited over 8 weeks (quote 5-7 weeks) for my front door to arrive only to have the wrong door delivered. Bill said it was the vendor's fault and that I'd have to wait another 6 weeks to receive the correct door. Maybe BFS is a good resource if you're a construction company purchasing large quantities, but as a local homeowner with a one item purchase, I felt insignificant and unimportant.
