  We called these guys hoping for that honest, small-business feel, but instead, we got the exact same upselling tactics you expect from big chains. Our AC went out during a 100-degree heatwave. The technician came out, changed a bad capacitor, and the unit kicked right on. But since the system had just started up, the air was obviously still a little warm. He used that quick moment to try and convince us the system still wasn't fixed. Then he went inside to hunt for more problems with our indoor unit, asking if it had been acting up before (it hadn't). Next thing we know, he's claiming we absolutely have to replace the contactor too just to use the AC, trying to charge around $250 for each part on top of the $85 service fee. The whole thing felt sketchy, so I just paid him the $85 service fee and called a second technician for another opinion. The second guy confirmed that the contactor is working fine for now and didn't need to be replaced right away. The AC has been cooling the house perfectly ever since with just that first capacitor fix. Be really careful with these guys if you're stuck in extreme weather and desperate to get your cooling back. Definitely get a second opinion before you agree to a bunch of random extra repairs.
