  We recently had K&J Mechanical complete two major projects for our family—one at our home and another at my mother-in-law’s house—and we couldn’t be more pleased with the results. Both projects were extensive, involving blown-in insulation, removal of old ductwork, installation of multiple mini-split systems, and several bath fan installations. From start to finish, the team demonstrated professionalism, efficiency, and attention to detail. Tyler, the project manager, stood out in particular. He was incredibly knowledgeable, easy to work with, and kept us well informed throughout the entire process. Even more impressive, he helped keep both projects well under budget without cutting corners. The entire crew was respectful and considerate, especially when it came to accommodating the needs of my mother-in-law, which meant a great deal to our family. We highly recommend K&J Mechanical for any HVAC or insulation work. We’ll absolutely continue doing business with them—and we’re glad to now consider them more than just a contractor

  The technician and the team were very professional, kept to stated timeline, answered all of my questions, in terms that I understood. All were friendly and stayed on task. I must say that the cost for the new system was a shock. Ryan(tech) was great.

  As a caregiver for an elderly veteran, I am extremely disappointed with our experience. His air unit began blowing cold air, so we called this company for service. The technician was at the home for no more than five minutes before providing an estimate for several thousand dollars to replace the entire unit. Thankfully, we declined the repair and sought a second opinion within 24 hours. The second company immediately identified the issue — the thermostat/fan setting had simply been switched from “Auto” to “On.” Once adjusted, the system worked perfectly. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the unit, and no replacement was needed. It is very concerning that such an expensive replacement was recommended without any meaningful troubleshooting. As a caregiver, I felt this situation took advantage of an elderly veteran who relies on honest, professional guidance when making home repair decisions. I strongly encourage others — especially seniors and their families — to always seek a second opinion before approving major HVAC repairs. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this company.

  This company was sent by my home warranty. The worker who came out told us we needed a new coil for our heat pump and that it was leaking. The first step was to send this information into my home warranty and the estimate came back that we would owe 3.7k in costs because the company put in all this other “work” that needed to be done like bringing stuff up to code etc that was never mentioned to me at our initial appointment. The coil that needed replacing would be covered but not this other work supposedly we needed. This was very off putting to me that other things needed to be done was not mentioned to me in person and was just added on. It honestly felt like a scam. I called the company and the woman on the phone said it would take 24-48 hours to send me an email of an itemized list of what needed to be done but after 3 business days I was not given this information despite calling everyday for what the hold up was. I ended up having a highly rated company come out and turns out nothing is wrong with my unit!!!! It’s working perfectly fine we just need more insulation in our crawl space to help with the heat in the house. 3.7k saved!
