Jacob’s Ladder updated my deck with precision and great care, including carpentry and power washing. The job site was cleaned every evening and upon job completion. This job was the second job done with Jacob’s Ladder. They are my go-to company when I need a job well done!

The Jacob's Ladder team painted five rooms for me, a huge undertaking, as my home is old and there were many cracks and holes that had to be filled before painting could commence. Nevertheless, they went about the work in high spirits and energy, which never flagged. They were punctual and courteous and downright nice people. I'm very pleased with the results and will call upon Jacob's Ladder for future jobs.

The painters themselves did a fantastic job, with the job lead really taking an interest in my house. He made sure it looked great when done. The crew also did a great job repairing poorly patched holes and prepping walls that had been messed up by the people who sold us the house. If I could rate the crew, I'd give them 5 stars. However, the paint (that THEY purchased for the job) did not initially adhere properly to the trim or interior doors, and it barely coated the walls with the first application. Some of the walls looked grey and streaky instead of bright white and objectively needed more paint, and the doors looked speckled and worse than before they started. I said no to a $700 change order to add more paint and had a long conversation with my contact at Jacobs Ladder. At the end of the call, he said how about we do another coat on the trim and doors and add another coat to the walls that look grey, and if you are still not happy, we can come back in a few weeks after you have moved in. I said great. After the project was done, the company billed me for about 25% more than what I initially agreed to. I was surprised and asked for a phone call, during which time he said the issue of the paint not sticking was my fault, not theirs. I was under a very tight budget, so the extra cost hit hard. But also I do not understand how paint failing to stick to other paint is my fault. If the price problem had not happened, I would have given 5 stars. This is my first negative review ever, and I wish I did not have to leave it.

We secured 5 estimates for painting the exterior of our house and shed. Jacob’s Ladder’s quote was impressive, the most professional, listing in detail everything they would be doing and the best price. The crew arrived Tuesday morning and completed the job Wednesday evening. Awesome job. We could not be more satisfied with the finished result and would highly recommend this company.

I was extremely impressed with the quality of work provided, and also with the project lead’s friendliness, attention to detail, flexibility, and knowledge. The crew showed up on time, worked hard, and did an outstanding job from start to finish. I would absolutely use this company again and highly recommend them to others.
We determine start dates based on project scope, our current workload, and weather conditions. After receiving your deposit and material selections, we'll provide an estimated start date and keep you informed of any changes. Our aim is to begin your project promptly while maintaining our high standards of quality.
Do you use subcontractors?
Yes, we collaborate with both trusted subcontractors and our own employees. All individuals working on your project are exclusive to Jacob's Ladder, ensuring consistent quality and reliability. We thoroughly vet and train each person to meet our professional standards.
What is the difference between a manufacturer's warranty and a company/labor warranty?
A manufacturer's warranty covers defects in the materials themselves, such as siding or roofing shingles. This warranty varies by product and brand. Our company/labor warranty, on the other hand, covers our workmanship, ensuring proper installation. If any issues arise due to installation errors within the warranty period, we'll make the necessary repairs at no cost to you.
I would like to move forward with my project. Do you have financing options?
We do offer financing options through our trusted partners to help make your project more affordable. During your consultation, we'll be happy to guide you through the financing application process and discuss the available terms.
How often should I have my house power washed?
We recommend power washing your home at least annually to remove accumulated dirt, mold, and mildew. If your property is surrounded by trees or exposed to harsh weather conditions, you might benefit from power washing every 6-9 months.
When is it too cold to perform your services?
While we operate year-round, extreme cold can impact certain materials and installation processes. For instance, roofing and painting are best performed when temperatures are above 40F to ensure proper adhesion and curing. In severe weather conditions, we may suggest rescheduling to maintain the highest quality results.
Do you have high pressure salespeople?
We don't employ high-pressure sales tactics. Our team consists of friendly professionals who enjoy discussing home projects and helping you find the right solutions. Even if we're not the best fit for your needs, we're always happy to answer your questions.
How can I tell which business to work with for my home project?
Choosing the right home improvement company can be challenging. We recommend meeting with at least three companies and paying attention to their approach. Consider whether they use high-pressure sales techniques or offer a variety of product options. Review their Google ratings, Better Business Bureau listing, and ask to speak with recent customers. At Jacob's Ladder, we employ consultants who provide real choices and educate you throughout the process.
What CC do you accept?
We accept Visa and MasterCard, with a small processing fee to offset associated costs. Currently, we don't accept American Express or Discover. We also offer financing options through third-party lenders for your convenience.
What is your minimum project rate?
Our minimum project rate varies by season and scope of work. We require at least a full day's work for our crew to ensure we can allocate proper resources and deliver high-quality results. For a precise quote, please contact us for a brief consultation to determine if your project meets our minimum requirements.
