  1. Incorrect & inefficient diagnoses 2. Unnecessary work performed 3. Unreasonable billing for level of expertise 4. Unprofessional service Two technicians spent more than 5 and half hours repeatedly incorrectly diagnosing an inconsistent hot water issue and then proceeded to bill for several parts they replaced that then did not fix the problem! They also dragged a bunch of mud throughout the house onto carpets while the junior helper was audibly cursing under their breath. Their bill was over $1000 and they still had no idea how to fix it and wanted to schedule another future visit to continue to diagnose further erroneously suspecting a faulty flow meter was to blame even after I pointed out that the GPM reading was holding steady and the readings were consistent with the fixtures being tested which should have definitively ruled that out. While they were packing up to leave I was able to research within 10 minutes what the actual problem was which turned out to be a documented known issue to the manufacturer who had made a revised replacement part available which I was able to order for $8 and install myself in 15 minutes. Upon inspection of the old faulty check valve it was obvious that the O-rings had disintegrated from contact with chloramines in the water allowing water to bypass and had also gummed up the spring mechanism preventing the valve from operating properly. Thankfully upon discussion with management the following day they agreed to waive the charges but frankly I can’t help but wonder how many customers are being overcharged for inefficient/faulty diagnostics and unnecessary work who don’t know any better or aren’t willing to dispute their bills. Customers paying $150 an hour expect and deserve real vetted expertise and accurate efficient diagnostics but these guys were quite obviously learning on the job and having to phone more experienced colleagues who seemingly only led them on further wild goose chases. Safe to say I won’t be using this company again or recommending their services but at least I’m satisfied that they were willing to waive the bill.

  Capacitor issues for the compressor. Travis was able to figure out the issue pretty quickly and fix it with a part on the truck. Would absolutely recommend to anyone in a bad spot!

  Paul was great. I had a gas leak. He was able to find all of the sources of the leak and repair.

  I didn’t purchase my hvac from Chase and that’s only because I was new to RVA and picked wrong! The initial install firm left me in mid summer with NO a/c, and a $10k repair estimate, 3 years after purchase. I called Chase and Jeremy arrived and immediately got the A/C working. Chase recently completed the needed repair. Everything is working beautifully and it didn’t require a downpayment on a fishing boat! THANK YOU JEREMY And THANK YOU RICHARD! They’re doing work and customer service as if you are a customer, and not just a consumer! I appreciate that. The only ‘gotcha’ here is a grateful customer! Don’t mess around, or roll the dice with your HVAC, there are HVAC SHARKS in these RVA waters , just call Chase!

  Recently (January 2026) we woke up to a cold house. We were due to leave on vacation, so my wife called the answering service and left a message. When they opened, they called, and we explained we had a cold house and were due to leave on vacation. They quickly rearranged their schedules, sent a repairman, and had us up and running within an hour. You can't ask for better service!
