  I am not and will never be a customer of Bull Construction and Roofing. However, the previous owner of my house had the roof replaced by Bull in 2023. We recently discovered that a recurring leak in the ceiling of our first-floor bump-out was coming from the roof. We initially thought it might be plumbing-related because the master bathroom is directly above the area. However, the leak only occurred during heavy rain and wind, and there were obvious signs of a previous repair around the flashing. Based on that evidence, it strongly appears that there had been a known problem in this area before we purchased the house. I had four separate roofing companies inspect the problem, and three identified improperly installed flashing; the fourth did not access the roof and attributed it to caulking. I then contacted Bull and spoke with a man named Shawn, who identified himself as the owner. To his credit, he did answer my call after hours. Unfortunately, he immediately became defensive, saying that different roofers have different standards and suggesting that the problem was probably just caulking. That explanation did not hold up. A roofer initially attempted to address the visible caulking and flashing issue, but I was able to reproduce the leak with a hose within minutes. A subsequent inspection required removing a row of siding to see how the flashing had actually been installed. What we found was not simply a previous patch or minor repair. The underlying flashing installation itself was extremely poor. The flashing had large gaps where previous tape had failed, seams were not properly staggered, and there were nails driven directly into the siding rather than properly securing the flashing. One side had been secured with what appeared to be foil-backed tape, while the other appeared to have been held with clear packaging-style tape. Tar had also been used extensively around the flashing. These are not what I would consider acceptable methods for installing or securing roof flashing. Even if Bull claims that some of this work was done by the original builder rather than Bull, Bull replaced the roof in 2023. This should have been identified and corrected during that roof replacement. Instead, the roof would have been replaced while a seriously defective flashing installation remained in place. Shawn continued to focus on the shingle warranty being expired rather than addressing the workmanship issue. Shawn asked me to provide my contact information so that the issue could be followed up on. I provided it, but I never received any subsequent call, text, email, or scheduling communication from Bull. I ultimately had to hire other roofing professionals to investigate and correct the problem. The result is that a roof installed by Bull in 2023 developed a leak only a few years later, and the underlying flashing installation was found to be in extremely poor condition. When I brought this to Bull's attention, I received defensiveness and a warranty explanation rather than an effort to investigate the workmanship. Based on what we found, I would not recommend Bull Construction and Roofing and would not trust them to perform roofing work on my home. If you are considering using them, I would strongly recommend considering another roofing company instead.

  Bull construction did our roof replacement in Ashburn recently. Elmar was super responsive and handled all the insurance claims and got the roof replaced in timely manner using quality materials. Elmar also went above and beyond helping trimming a tree adjacent to our property. They left property clean and are still very responsive to my calls even after work is done and they have been paid. Highly recommended.

  We had the pleasure of having Bull Construction do our roof, siding and some interior painting. Everyone at Bull was helpful, patient, and knowledgable in their line of work. Elmar, Shawn, Cynthia, Luis, Lilli, Magali, Valentin and Lupe were all so helpful in making our house a beautiful sight to come home to.

  Shawn helped us every step of the way with the build process! Love our new beautiful roof and also the amazing paint job Bull did on my interior! There was storm damage to our home and although a stressful process by the insurance company, Bull was able to help us through!
