  Technician Tim White with A1 did a great job replacing and repairing my garage door system . He was professional, a clear and very good communicator, great follow thru , and did the job in a timely manner under extremely hot conditions . I was very pleased with A1 and will use them again when needed

The technician initially told me I was ‘fortunate’ because I did not need a full garage door replacement and that the repair would cost $224. I also mentioned that my garage door opener was not working properly. I was then told that the opener needed to be completely replaced for over $1,000, even though the technician identified the actual issue as a bad sensor. Trusting their expertise, I agreed at first. After doing my own research, I discovered the sensor part cost about $50. I replaced it myself, and the opener worked perfectly afterward. That made me feel very uncomfortable about the recommendation I was given. When I contacted the company to express my concerns, especially as a 65-year-old single woman who felt taken advantage of, the response I received was disappointing. Instead of addressing the concern directly, I was told they could not confirm what happened because the manager ‘wasn’t there.’ I also found out the original $224 repair quote suddenly increased to $295 once I declined the opener replacement. In the end, the garage door was repaired, but the experience left me feeling extremely disappointed and distrustful. I strongly encourage others to get a second opinion before agreeing to expensive repairs or replacement that are unnecessary.

  We highly recommend A1 for any issues with your garage door. Tim from A1 was very knowledgeable and informative regarding issues with our residential garage door. After his complete inspection and recommendation, we agreed to update our door opener, springs and wheels, which Tim completed during this same visit. So happy with A1 and Tim for a job well done!
