  My experience with Herman W. Allen has been disappointing. I purchased a 4-zone mini split system from them. The installation took three days. The sales rep and the install team were nice. About a month after the system was installed, one of the lines started leaking. It damaged my ceiling, floor, and attic insulation. The technician told me it was an installation error. Apparently, one of the installation technicians didn't put a clamp on a line. I was told management would reach out to me, but they never did. I had to pursue them multiple times. All the while, my wife and I may be exposed to mold because of someone’s negligence. The problem has yet to be remedied, but this is not the sort of quality I expect after paying the significant amount of money I did.

  Jeremy was highly recommended by my mother. I had a problem with the original 1959 toilet flange in my brick rancher. The bolts that tied the toilet to the flange were unanchored, and a suspicious smell was coming up from the base of the toilet. Although it seemed unlikely to Jeremy that drilling into the flange to install new connections to hold the toilet down would work, after he looked at the sub-standard complexity of the pipes in the crawlspace to replace the corrupted pipes, he tried again to drill down into the original flange. He was successful. I’m waiting on an estimate to do a more complete job. But for the here and now, this house is back in business. It was a pleasure to meet Jeremy. His investigations and explanations couldn’t have been better. Shout out to his assistant “Toi”, who also contributed to explaining aspects of my plumbing.

  I used these guys 3 years ago for a well pump, other plumbing work, I've referred them to people and got them work, and they just did a pipe cleanup job today in my attached garage and it looks great. I've had one issue with a high quote price and they were nothing but cool and trying to work within my budget. Plus, they're nice, honest people. Even today - Nick and his really sharp helper Logan found an extra leak under my house and fixed it and didn't charge me extra! Can't say enough nice things about these guys - it's nice knowing I can pick up the phone if I need them.

  My HVAC unit went out and Chris came and got me right. He was friendly, very professional, very knowledgeable and actually explained to me how my system worked and the process of how he diagnosed my issues and how he would fix the system. He came to my home three times between initial diagnosis and having to do extra repair that we didn’t foresee. Each time he was friendly and very sympathetic to my frustration. He even gave me tips on how to protect my system for the upcoming winter. I couldn’t have asked for a better person to come and fix my system. He was stellar!

  Herman W. Allen Plumbing, Heating & Cooling saved the day! After we had quartz counter tops installed, along with a new, deeper, stainless steel sink, I realized that the height of the disposal was off and could not be connected to the plumbing on the strainer side of the 50/50 sink. We called Herman W. Allen Plumbing, Heating & Cooling to schedule a diagnostic visit. I didn't have to wait long. In just a day I met with the team, Hunter and Nick, who are plumbing experts. Can you imagine how happy I was when Hunter told me he and Nick could perform the work at that moment? Hunter and Nick worked fast to modify my in-house and in-crawlspace plumbing so that the new, super-deep sink and disposal work well. The two young men were extremely pleasant and friendly. It's obvious why Herman W. Allen Plumbing, Heating & Cooling has earned such a long-standing reputation in the area. This review is meant to carry the message of my strongest recommendation!
