Allen did an amazing job pumping our septic tank. He was very thorough and walked my husband through every step. He was also extremely courteous and respectful. I would definitely recommend them.

The good—no issues with the overall work performed (install a 30 amp outlet—I supplied the outlet and 30 amp breaker)—the electrician, Kevin, did a fine job. Kevin was accompanied by his wife—very polite and nice.
The bad—the total bill was $719–the actual time to install was 45 minutes; however, the electrician did not have the wire needed (2 feet) to make the connection, so he had to run out and get it.
Total time to complete the task was 2 hours and 30 mins—arrived at 1:38 and departed at 3:25.
He departed to get the wire at 2:05 and returned at 3:05.
We talked for 20 minutes when he first arrived about another issue with the main house panel and that is on me.
I called the owner, Jim, after I received the bill and said Kevin did a fine job but please help me understand the total cost—-I knew upfront there was a $129 service call and then $175 per hour. My math added to $479–add the wire and conduit—$525. How did we get to $719 ($194 upcharge).
Jim told me he would need to look at the bill and call me back—he did say that the labor rate for two people (Kevin and his spouse) is $225. I mentioned that Kevin’s spouse, not an electrician, did not do anything and the math still does add up—$579.00 total with labor and the $129 service call—add the wire ($600) and still doesn’t get you to $719.
I never got a call back from Jim, which speaks volumes and is unacceptable.
I will report this matter to the State’s Attorney General—the fact the owner could not explain the exorbitant cost and charges a labor rate for two people on a one person job is abusive and price gouging.
I tracked the times by going back and looking at my camera footage, so there is accuracy with my calculations.
Bottom line—do not use Lakeside Electric—they can’t explain their charges and their business practices are unethical.

Absolutely horrendous company. They are greedy and will charge way beyond what is fair with less than mediocre work. The customer service is beyond lacking and they will have an attitude the minute they answer the phone. Just steer clear and save yourself money and headache.

I called for a plumbing leak. The septic guy came out, pulled out my refrigerator and said the leak was to my ice maker. He said they didn’t have any supplies on their truck as he was the septic side and their plumber didn’t come in to work. He then said that he temporarily fixed the leak but would have them email me a quote to permanently fix the issue and that heit wasn’t leaking now because they crimped the connection. I was charged and paid 214.00 dollars. After they leaft water was leaking more than it was. I didn’t receive an email the next day. I called them after I got home from work and they told me they would send me a message. Never heard from them since. So I paid $214.00 for them to pull out fridge and do nothing.
