★★★★★ A Trusted Partner for Real Estate Owners & Professionals Chris from Fortress Foundation recently presented to our team at Keller Williams Commonwealth in Staunton/Waynesboro, and it was one of the most helpful and well-received visits we’ve had. Scott and Cayla from the Fortress team joined him as well, a great show of collaboration and support. What stood out: • Professional and approachable: Chris was knowledgeable, personable, and a pleasure to work with. • Clear, visual presentation: His project photos made the work easy to understand and showed real results. • Reassuring perspective: Foundation and basement concerns can be stressful for buyers and sellers. Chris showed us that repairs are often more affordable and straightforward than people fear. • Full range of services: Beyond foundation and basement repair, Fortress also handles sidewalks, driveways, and more. As realtors, we know that when a listing has had work done by Fortress, it’s quality work we can stand behind. Their transferable warranties give new owners added peace of mind and help keep deals moving forward. Thank you, Chris, Scott, Cayla, and the entire Fortress Foundation team, for sharing your time and expertise. We are happy to recommend you and grateful for your help with our clients and their properties!

Fortress in Forest, VA is a great, reliable company with professional employees. They are very responsive (unlike their competitors) and their communication throughout the process was amazing. They did an awesome job, and we are extremely pleased with the results. I would definitely recommend Fortress to anyone looking for a dependable company, and I would absolutely use them again!

Quality company to work with if addressing foundation issues. Adam assessed the problem and offered a reasoned and effective solution. Travis and Jack installed the recommended wall reinforcements. The whole team was highly responsive, took the time to explain their work, and best of all, did exactly what they said they would do for exactly the price they quoted. Good people, good company.

They mixed concrete right on top of my patio without any cover and tried to tell me that they didn't. Kevin was great, spending 2 days to clean up after the crew. But my patio still has damage. They put concrete over my septic tank cover, over the bolts and everything, and tried to tell me they didn't and I can still open it. I had to spend a full 5 minutes explaining that the screws were not visible and that the concrete covered the opening so I wouldn't be able to pull it up. They rolled their eyes but fixed it after I kept pushing back. It was maddening. I regret using them still, almost a year later.

Sumner from Fortress Foundation Solutions otherwise known as All things Basementy came out last Tuesday September 8 2026 to look at my wet basement and crawlspace. Although he was nice enough he seemed more focused on selling his services along with the brochures, iPad, presentation, etc..I did not get the feeling that he knew a whole lot about my situation. I walked him around the exterior and basement interior describing the issue. He wasn’t taking notes nor did he even have a flashlight on hand to look in my crawlspace to observe my concerns. He did his thing for almost an hour then came back to talk. I asked him specific questions about the crawlspace which he couldn’t answer and mostly dodged by saying he had to write things up. Moreover, his clothes were perfectly clean confirming my suspicions that he never crawled into the crawlspace like he said he would do. And no I never saw him put on a jumpsuit or any protective outerwear. He told me he spent years crawling into attics and now crawlspaces were his expertise. Anyway we finished talking and he said it would take him 2 days to work up some estimates and he would email or call. It’s been 1 week and I never heard from him or the company. Very very unprofessional. I do not recommend this company or at least Sumner for an inspection. If they don’t want to do the work, they should simply tell me. Must be nice to be so busy that they can blow off customers. Save yourself. Go elsewhere.
