  Mr Tyrone and his crew did a great job, asbestos is ugly work and the black mastic needed to be removed so that I could put my new flooring down. Affordable abatement came in with a crew of 8 men and knocked out the job quickly. The clean up was great. I would hire them again.

  Affordable Abatement is highly recommended. After taking over the management of our 1918 family home, our old boiler broke down after 70+ years. The HVAC team we hired informed us that the asbestos insulation needed removal first. The first two abatement companies were either unable to help or quoted an exorbitant prices. One of the providers, a large franchise gave us a rough ballpark that was fair, but the actual quote was several times the high end of their ballpark figure. I assumed they just thought we'd be able to pay that, or it was a "nice" way of saying they didn't want the job. Affordable Abatement, led by Tyrone, stood out. Despite being based 1.5 hours away, they were prompt and professional, calling ahead to confirm their arrival time on the day of the initial assessment. Their attention to detail, like cleaning dirt walls under damaged asbestos, impressed me. Their quote was reasonable compared to the franchise, and their A+ BBB rating and clean safety record with the Virginia department of professional and occupational regulation reassured us that Affordable Abatement was the right choice. Throughout the process, communication was smooth, even when we faced delays due to weather and my mom's hospitalization. I appreciated their understanding and professionalism. Supporting this small, family-oriented business was a great decision and I was glad we could avoid using a big franchise. The day of the abatement went well. We had a crew of 9 gentlemen that worked swiftly and diligently. Once the abatement was done we were told we'd have the results of the air quality test the next day. When I checked my email the next morning I had the results along with a letter certifying the area was safe for our HVAC contractor to begin work. I had a bad experience in selecting a contractors to perform work about a year prior. I generally prefer to use contractors that are recommended by family and other close associates. Tyrone of affordable was excellent during every step, and I had a really good feeling about them. Now that the work is done I am super relieved to have the asbestos out of the house and would sing their praises to anyone willing to listen. My only recommendation to Affordable Abatement would be to include more before and after photos on their website. I think if folks could see the quality of their work it would benefit their business and help assure potential clients Affordable Abatement is the right choice for them. So, if you need some asbestos in your home handled, my hope is that you will consider these guys. They really did a stellar job an treated us right every step of the way. We are very grateful to Affordable Abatement!
