  We used to be customers of another large, well-known Charlottesville, VA based HVAC company until they tried to tell us we needed a new A/C system. We called R.E. Boggs for a second opinion and Gary Moneymaker the R.E. Boggs technician who came out cleaned our system and had it back to full operation in 30 minutes. It seems that even though we had a service contract with that other company, they never cleaned our outside system, but they really wanted us to buy a new system. Our system stopped working again just before the big heat dome event and we were scared that there was a serious problem. I called the R.E. Boggs emergency number and Gary came out within two hours and replaced a faulty part and had our system working again. The service fees were exceptionally reasonable with most of the cost due to the price of the replacement solenoid. If you are tired of getting the run around from other HVAC companies in the Charlottesville and Palmyra areas, call R.E. Boggs.

  I called RE Bogg’s to request an appointment for someone to come out to give me a quote for a new HVAC system. The HVAC had stopped working the day before and the temperature was 95 degrees. I was immediately transferred to Steve. Steve came out the same day to review my existing system. He also brought a window air conditioner for me to use and it did not matter if I did or didn’t buy a unit from him. However, during conversation, Steve determined that I did not need to replace the unit - only needed to replace a part. He left and came back with a replacement part that worked!! I highly recommend this company and Steve for his professionalism and service. He was honest. He could have made more money by selling me a new unit. Thank you Steve!

  5 years and 3 months ago I had to use Boggs to replace my a/c unit due to them being the company for my home warranty. While they were here they where extremely rude and completely unprofessional. 3 days ago my unit stopped working, I had another company come out to look at it since my previous experience with Boggs was so horrendous. Apparently Boggs did a bunch of sketchy installments along with the unit they installed not even be the correct type of unit I need causing my power bill to sky rocket and my new unit to work over time. My 5 year warranty was up 3 months ago and I have to replace the unit yet again along with repairing everything that having an improper unit damaged. So if you want to pay more every month on your electric bill, replace your unit every 5 years, and be berated for asking simple questions Boggs is the company for you.
