  Recently, we purchased a new home at the Kennington Community in Aylett, VA and had an excellent experience with Jim Lopez, who is the Sales Associate and his team at the Kennington Properties, Richmond American Homes. He is a professional who listens well, communicates clearly, knows their product inside and out, and guides you smoothly through the buying process and we want to specifically recognize Jim for his outstanding service he provided us.   In August of 2026, my wife and I were in the market to purchase a new home. We decided to go with new construction and went to Kennington Richmond American, in Aylett Va. We were met by Jim Lopez the salesman for Richmond American. Jim was very knowledgeable about the home as well as all the home features. We decided to work with Jim, which turned out to be the best decision we could have made. Jim is honest, trustworthy and his infectious personality and communication skills is unmatched.Jim walked and guided us through the whole process, making are buying experience second to none.   It's the builder to choose.The main level of both models had 9 foot ceilings & 8 foot doors, how inviting and made the feeling of being in a more prestigious atmosphere. All homes come standard build with 2 × 6 exterior walls, R-23 insulation in the exterior walls, R-58 in ceiling, Uponor plumbing, Renai Hybrid Hot water tank, Quartz Countertops, 42" kitchen cabinets, Luxury Vinyl Plank Floors, 4 ft Conditioned Crawl space accessible from inside home with French drain, Vinyl Liner and 2 Sump Pumps. Lawns are Sod not just seed and straw thrown down. These are all standard features here in Kennington at Richmond American Homes. There is more than this too. You can choose from 6 Homes and they even have basement lots and the basements have 3 pc rough in and are walkout. Choose lots from 15,000 sq ft to 36,000 sq ft. All backyards back to trees. No neighbors. Sales office was incredible and knowledgeable. 5-year warranty with all homes along with in-house professional value based financing on build to order or quick move-in homes. Look no more, you will win for sure. Have you ever shopped for larger investments knowing your budget was going to be more frugal but you just had to see a step above your budget for comparison.Let's face it smart buyers always compare with what they think they can afford and what they want to have and always weight the pros & cons. Whatever you are looking at to live and love in you have to weigh in the option of making it a Richmond American Home in Kennington. Dont be the customer that says after they move into a competitors home, darn I wish we would have chosen the Richmond American home. Cheap homes aren't good & good homes aren't cheap. Richmond American Homes aren't the most expensive and aren't the lowest value either. If you buy right down the middle you won't regret it.
