  Had a disastrous experience with this company. They were hired to install a new HVAC in our business suite. They sent 3 young guys out to install it that looked like they were still in high school. The inexperienced crew neglected to properly seal the roof where the AC lines extrude which caused the ceiling to collapase and the entire suite to flood when it rained. Now the suite is unoccupiable and a restoration company has had to come in and take up all the carpet and remove the sheetrock leaving us without an office for weeks. Besides being inexperienced, their staff used a lot of crude language during the install making our office personnel uncomfortable. To add insult to injury, the new unit has now broken and they are treating it as a normal service call and they are understaffed...no sense of urgency. As a Class A contractor, I don't see how these guys stay in business. If you are a busienss, I would heavily advise you use another company that has more experienced techs and actually cares about their reputation.

  There were three parts to our repair. Google only allows one review, so all three are listed below. Devon Collison did a great job diagnosing the problem with our mini split. He was very personable, professional, thorough, and showed up on time. Two technicians from another company had inspected it and couldn’t determine why it wasn’t producing cool air. We really appreciate Devon’s obvious expertise. Bradley Ilch and his helper did an amazing job working on our mini split. It was a complicated job, and they were very personable and professional. They explained things as they completed the work. It is wonderful to have adequate cooling. Thomas Boxley finished off the third part of the job. He was also personable and professional and did a great job. We really appreciate all of the hard work by everyone getting our unit up and running. .

  Troy Huffman was great! He arrived promptly on a Saturday night to service my AC. He was very polite and explained everything! He answered ALL my questions! He showed me the problem and explained the price and quickly fixed the issue. He also explained the maintenance plans available. I purchased a maintenance plan and will be calling Gilman Heating-Cooling-Plumbing for all my future repairs. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The prompt after hours response and great service has made me a customer for life! Thanks again Troy Huffman for the great service!

  8/13/26 I had this experienced yesterday one of this Gilman Heating ,Cooling & Plumbing. Trucks T 68 speed up as I was coming on to 95 north at the Chamberlayne Road exit. The laws in Virginia says that you move over to ongoing traffic. You do not speed up……I came over because that lanes gonna end. I could see two people in the back of the truck…. The temperaments of the drivers that drive company trucks are ridiculous. Please remember you’re not driving your personal vehicle. Do better public safety is important. Yes I know you want to get off, but don’t have an accident trying to be a ……… I tried calling yesterday but they close at 5 according to website. Plus I am driving.

  My AC stopped working properly last night so after a miserable nights sleep I was on the phone this morning searching for a good, honest and dependable company that could get to me today. Kaitlin was so helpful and super friendly in getting me scheduled. They then sent me a text with the name and pic of the technician when he was headed to me, with a link to also track him. Jacob Ray showed up with a smile right on time. He was very thorough and explained everything he was doing and what he was finding throughout the process of diagnosing the issues. There was no doubt in my mind he was being straightforward and was very knowledgeable. He made the necessary repairs and explained what was done and what had happened that got me to this point. He then explained and sent me a link for their maintenance plan to consider. Nothing pushy or anything- just informative and helpful. Thank you!! 👏🏻
