  Extremely disappointing experience. We specifically called this company to clean a convector coil and explained that the work was time-sensitive because the unit is under contract. The office manager said they had an immediate opening and could perform the work that same day. We were told in advance that the service call would cost $115, cover the first 30 minutes, and that any additional work would be billed at $150 per hour. After we waited approximately three hours, the technician arrived, changed a filter that I could easily have changed myself, and then said he did not have enough time to clean the coil. We already knew the coil needed cleaning—that was the entire reason for the appointment. The technician himself said the cleaning would take approximately two hours. Despite not performing the requested cleaning, the company charged us the $115 service-call fee. After approximately 20 follow-up calls, it finally sent an additional quote for $1,150 to clean the coil. Based on the pricing they gave us at the outset, a two-hour job should have cost approximately $340: $115 for the first 30 minutes and $225 for the remaining 90 minutes at $150 per hour. Instead, they quoted another $1,150 without adequately explaining why the price was more than three times the amount indicated by their own hourly rate and technician’s time estimate. Had the office been honest that the technician could not complete the cleaning that day, we would have hired another company. Instead, they wasted our day, charged us for a filter change we did not request, failed to follow up, and then provided a quote that was completely inconsistent with the pricing initially represented to us. I would not recommend this company.

  One star. Extremely disappointing experience with Perry Aire Services. The technician, John Shifflett, arrived looking completely unprofessional. His pants were sagging, shirt untucked, and overall presentation did not inspire confidence. Unfortunately, the service itself matched the appearance. He spent about an hour working on the unit and told me everything was fixed and the air was back on. Then he left to move his car because he was unhappy about parking in the garage. When he returned, the air conditioning was not working at all. What followed was another three hours of him sitting on the phone with what sounded like tech support, with no resolution. At the end of all that time, he told me he could not access the unit properly and that they would need to send a “smaller technician” the next day. No one showed up. No follow-up. When I called the office, I received an automated message pushing the appointment out to Tuesday, completely contradicting what I was told in person. Meanwhile, my showroom is sitting at 80 degrees with no working AC and no clear plan or accountability from the company. Unprofessional, disorganized, and a complete waste of time.
