Question 1

What is the average cost of your kitchen cabinet job?

Accepted Answer

The cost of our kitchen cabinet projects can vary significantly depending on the specific details of each job. Elements like material selection, design complexity, and installation needs all play a role in determining the final price. We collaborate closely with each client to create custom solutions that align with their budget and design goals. For more information, please see our pricing guide.

Question 2

What is your service area?

Accepted Answer

While we primarily serve clients in the Lynchburg, VA area, we’re happy to travel for projects that align with our specialized expertise. Whether you're local or located a bit farther away, we’re always open to discussing how we can support your project.

Question 3

Do you use particle boards or other engineered wood panels?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we use particle boards as a substrate for plastic laminate countertops, as well as MDF (medium-density fiberboard) for many painted door panels. However, in our standard cabinet construction, we don't use particle boards. Instead, we use inch thick maple plywood with a domestic veneer core (either poplar or fir). Each sheet is prefinished with a UV finish that will retain its beauty and durability through the lifetime of the cabinets. We believe that only the best materials make the best cabinets.

Question 4

What door styles do you offer?

Accepted Answer

We offer an extensive range of door styles to match virtually any design aesthetic. If you provide an image of the style you’re aiming for, we can typically replicate it with precision, bringing your vision to life exactly as you imagined.

Question 5

How do you determine the price of your cabinets?

Accepted Answer

Cabinet pricing is generally determined by linear footage, with costs influenced by factors such as materials, hardware, door style, finish, and decorative trim. Countertops are priced separately, typically based on square footage, to account for their unique materials and fabrication requirements.

Question 6

Do you paint cabinets?

Accepted Answer

We offer expert cabinet painting services with a variety of finishes to meet your project’s requirements. Whether you want a smooth painted surface, a natural stain, a durable clear coat, or a custom finish, we have the skills and equipment to achieve the exact look you desire.

Question 7

Do you use a design software?

Accepted Answer

We utilize a variety of advanced software tools, including design, manufacturing, and CAD/CAM programs, to guarantee precise execution of every detail. These technologies enable us to streamline workflows and deliver high-quality, customized results for each project.

Question 8

What's the difference between "factory" cabinets and "custom" cabinets?

Accepted Answer

Factory cabinets are mass-produced in standard sizes with limited design options. They often require fillers to fit spaces and involve multiple third-party companies, which can increase costs and reduce quality. Custom cabinets, however, are designed and built to meet specific customer needs, offering unlimited options in size, finish, and style. They are typically managed by a single company from design to installation, ensuring better quality control and often providing better value despite potentially higher upfront costs.

Question 9

What are my countertop options?

Accepted Answer

We offer a diverse range of countertop materials to suit various styles, budgets, and practical needs. Our options include durable and elegant granite and quartz, versatile solid surface and plastic laminate, refined cultured marble, and warm, character-rich wood or tile. Whatever your vision, we have the perfect materials to make it a reality.

Question 10

Do you install your cabinetry?

Accepted Answer

We handle the entire cabinet installation process in-house, guaranteeing consistent quality from the initial design through to the finishing details. By managing every step ourselves, we maintain full control over craftsmanship, timelines, and attention to detail, ensuring your project meets our exacting standards from start to finish.
