- SCSloan CollinsFeb 15, 20231.0Edit to add: almost 3-1/2 years since we've moved in and seeing more issues. Our cabinets are cracking and tilting, we found a leak in our ceiling, & LVP flooring is lifting. Our front yard that had issues before is sinking again! The grass that Richmond used to landscape our front yard is horrible and full of weeds (our backyard grass we did is treated the same and doesnt have any issues). DO NOT build with Richmond! They do a good job selling you but once you put money down they don't care anymore. Every little upgrade costs money (even to remove things), poor quality and even their vendors have cheap materials. The only way to get warranty work done is to write a bad review in your surveys, and to bother them almost weekly. Took almost 18 months for them to fix issues with my countertops only for them to say "lets hurry and leave so she doesn't make us fix it again". We had a massive sink hole in our front yard due to poor compaction and I had to call the county to help figure it out since Richmond wouldn't take ownership. Finally they came in and just put more dirt. That is just 2 of the many many issues we've had. NEVER EVER will I build with Richmond again. (I also know I'm not the only one in the subdivision who has had issues) The response of "email questions@richmond with issues" is a pathetic reply because it won't solve poor quality, bad customer service and a lack of communication so don't reply to this review with that unless you want to come to my home and ill show you the issues.

They only fix the super cheap and easy. Creaky floors, yard left full of boulders and gravel, a big hole in the porch stairs "fixed" by spraying foam in the general area.
