Spencer is going to be my go to HVAC guy from now on! He’s quotes were much more reasonable than any other HVAC company I’ve ever worked with. He also gave honest second opinion and DID NOT recommend repairs that other companies were clearly trying to upsell me on. Thanks Spencer!

I first heard about Spencer when a friend recommended him to another friend. That friend hired him and gave feedback saying how grateful she was to have had him referred to her. He helped her so much and was very reasonably priced. Another friend hired him because of that and her report was the same. So I referred him to another friend who was needing a furnace repair. That friend was thrilled and grateful for his work. He had another company bid the repair and it was far more expensive and unnecessarily extensive. So when I needed to have my system serviced, I called Spencer. He was everything I had heard, thorough, knowledgable, professional, honest and reasonable. I have an hrv that he serviced as well as my hvac units. That hrv had been serviced by others but no one had gone outside to check the intake vent. It was covered in pasted dirt, probably from when the house was built and had no landscaping yet. No one else had taken the time to check it. There is no way much air could flow in making it a useless appliance! He took the vent cover off and carefully and thoroughly cleaned it. Serviced the rest of the unit and the hvacs, taught me how to care for them. He was so reasonably priced. He came again to do a seasonal service and the experience was just as great! After having experiences with other hvac contractors who try to find things wrong that arent to get more work, it is such a blessing and breath of fresh air to be able to hire someone as honest and trustworthy as Spencer. 1000% recommend him!
How long will it take to complete my HVAC service?
Service duration depends on the specific work being performed. Standard service calls generally finish within one hour. New system installations usually require one to two days to complete. We maintain efficient response times to minimize any inconvenience to your schedule.
What makes WB HVAC different from other HVAC companies?
WB HVAC places customer satisfaction at the forefront of everything we do. We distinguish ourselves through our dedication to client education and helping customers save both time and money. Our services include dependable performance, fair pricing, and superior workmanship. We maintain a sincere commitment to delivering an experience that exceeds typical industry standards.
How often should I change my air filter?
Standard air filters should be replaced every one to three months. Maintaining this schedule ensures proper air quality and keeps your system running efficiently.
How long does an HVAC system last?
HVAC equipment lifespan varies by component. Furnaces typically operate for 15 to 20 years, while air conditioners and heat pumps usually last 10 to 15 years. Consistent maintenance helps maximize your system's operational life.
What is an HVAC system change-out?
A system change-out refers to the replacement of your current furnace and/or air conditioner with new equipment. The process usually preserves existing ductwork when it remains in satisfactory condition.
How do I know if I need a system replacement instead of a repair?
Multiple indicators suggest replacement may be necessary: system age between 12 and 20+ years, recurring repair needs, rising energy costs, use of obsolete refrigerants such as R-22, or repair expenses reaching 30-50% of replacement cost. Under these circumstances, a complete system change-out often provides better long-term value.
How much does an HVAC change-out cost?
Change-out pricing depends on multiple variables including system capacity, efficiency level, manufacturer, and whether the unit is single-stage, multi-stage, or variable-speed. For most residential applications, complete system replacements generally fall between $7,000 and $18,000 or higher, based on selected equipment and property requirements.
How long does a system change-out take?
Most residential system replacements finish within one day, generally requiring 6 to 10 hours. Larger installations or more complex configurations may need additional time to complete properly.
Do I need new ductwork with a change-out?
Replacing ductwork is not automatically required during a system change-out. Existing ducts can be maintained when they are appropriately sized, adequately sealed, and remain in sound condition. Keep in mind that compromised or improperly designed ductwork can decrease system performance by as much as 30%.
What size HVAC system do I need?
Proper system sizing requires a Manual J load calculation rather than duplicating your current unit's capacity. This approach guarantees maximum efficiency and comfort. Systems that are incorrectly sized, whether too large or too small, result in decreased performance and comfort problems.
