  Overnight, and without input from the folks that live here, some pencil pushing HOA executives increased our HOA yearly dues by $900. The Woodland Hills is mandating we pay an overpriced internet bill of $75 a month! Who in the world would pay that for internet. Yearly dues went from 1k to $1,900 and not one soul who lives here agrees. I would NOT recommend buying in this neighborhood. What a racket. Boycott this place.

  I have been in this home for 1 year now and here is my opinion. The house is nice but when you really look at the craftsmanship, you can really tell it is not up to par with the pricing they want. My biggest issue is blue tape day, you know…….when you meet with their project manager (Rex, nice guy) and he walks you through the house eventually talks about the warranty in a way that makes you feel good about buying because you know they will stand behind the build, right?………………wrong! What Rex never mentions is on blue tape day and before you close if what you think are warranty issues Chloe Brewer is all too happy to tell you it’s not covered. Imagine buying a brand new car and then as you drive for thirty days you notice stuff. You take it to the dealership and they say sorry, but you did not discover it during your test drive so you’re not covered, that’s Brightland, DRB or whoever they change their name to next. I have a wooden front door we noticed within the warranty window with a crack that is clearly a manufacturer defect, denied. Two of the 3 bathrooms have broken tile, denied. When you go into the attic there is another step up to get to the a/c and water heater that has a/c duct running on top of it , denied..Willis approved it so Brightland just🤷. I have double pane windows that are dirty on the inside most likely when manufactured but since I didn’t notice it on blue tape day or before I closed, sorry Charley. As I mentioned before trim molding around the inside doors is actually funny at how bad it is . I’m not saying don’t buy one I’m saying make sure before you close you spend a day or two inspecting the home before you agree to buy it because when you close that warranty won’t do you any good.

  We just moved into our new home in The Woodlands Hills. From start to finish, we were very pleased. Rex from Brightland Homes stayed on top of the project and made sure the home was constructed the way we desired. Christine Ford, our sale rep, was fantastic! We lived out of town, so each week she came to the site where our home was being constructed and took pictures and videos of the progress. Then she texted them to us. Christine was such an excellent communicator and very personable, keeping us informed and answering our questions. My wife and I highly recommend Christine Ford and Brightland Homes.   What an amazing team. Christine Ford is an amazing sales person. Janice Bueno at the design center was so helpful. Rex Pixley, the project MASTER is great at what he does. Not only did Brightland Homes build us our beautiful home, but gave us an amazing experience. The entire team worked so well together and with us. We love our beautiful dream home by Brightland Homes!
