  **PLEASE GET MULTIPLE BIDS BEFORE MAKING A DECISION WITH THIS COMPANY.** My wife and I live in Murchison, Texas within a gated community and our A/C stopped working on August 17, 2026. C&R heating and cooling came out the next day. They tried to charge me $28,000 for a complete replacement of my whole System and ducts. Before he hit us with that big number, one of the techs went out to his car for 30 minutes to make a slide show. He came back in and showed us a slide show of our A/C unit and its issues along with a slideshow about how good the company is and how many people they have helped. Not sure if they do that as a tactic for persuasion but it definitely didn’t persuade me to pay the $28,000. Adam, one of the techs, also stated that they are “a little more expensive” than other companies but “you get quality service” Keep in mind, that my wife and I let both technicians know that we are not in the position to pay a lot of money for a whole new cooling system. After he said $28,000, my wife and I were astonished. We immediately said “there’s no way” “we can’t do that”. The tech “Adam” immediately went down to $17,000. Once again, we were blown away. We said that is too much. He proceeds to ask “well what were you thinking about paying?” And my wife told him “under $10,000” and he starts talking like they can do something for $10,000. I’m sorry, but he went down from $28,000 to $10,000 real quick. And that plain fact let us know that we will not be using them. The technicians names were Adam Brown and Eric Gunter. My father in-law got his unit replaced for $7000 this year by “Omar” who owns Comfortville A/C in Athens tx. I had him come by today and he was here for 30 minutes and now I’m getting my whole system replaced for $8000. And after his expert advice, I found out that a lot of the information C&R heating and cooling technicians were giving us was false. And C&R was here for 4.5 hours with 2 technicians. And we payed them $100 for the diagnosis. I did not have to pay Omar (with Comfortville A/C) a diagnosis fee. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO REACH OUT TO MULTIPLE COMPANIES BEFORE GOING WITH THIS ONE. **And I am not concerned with the companies reply to this review.** All of the replies by the owner on past low rated reviews for this company have just been excuses and disingenuous. Also, stop using “Faith-Based” as a crutch. I am a Christian and it’s disrespectful.

  A big thank you to Cody Glasscock for his amazing service! He responded to my after-hours call, (I was told it would be between 9pm-11pm but he showed up at 7:20pm) took the time to thoroughly explain the issues, and was incredibly kind and informative throughout the entire process. I highly recommend him! If I ever need service again - he’ll definitely be my first call!

  C & R came to inspect the damage to my system rapidly and were thorough and informative. They went over all the options for repair and took time work with me on getting the repair done and affordable. The repair was completed almost immediately. The installers were polite, efficient and knowledgeable. They worked hard to get the work done as quickly as possible. They cleaned up the worksite after the work was completed.

  Fan motor not working & Tech got it running. Lasted overnight and shut down. Could not get an emergency Tech at C & R until 48 hours later. Called an AC/Htg business in Sulphur Springs & the Tech was here in :2 hours. He wrong size capacitor was placed on the Fan Motor & it was burned up. Pulled Fan unit out of Unit, placed a new Fan Motor & appropriate Capacitor on it, and the AC is working & cooling great! C & R Tech did see where I’d called (& placed 48 hours later!) and did call to check on me. I shared what the 2nd Tech discovered and then repaired. He was to talk to owners about this ordeal. I have not heard a word yet from C & R. Update** I received a gracious call from C & R yesterday providing a good explanation for using s wrong sized Capacitor. I totally understood. Owners offered to make things right and I humbly accepted! I feel I sort of jumped to conclusions way too early—and I regret that dearly. C & R is a smaller, but trained Family business based in Whitehouse, TX (Tyler burb) but serves as wide an area as some larger AC & HTG places. They are courteous & caring folk and I do recommend them to you! (& thanks for the call- backs!)

  Our A/C stopped working Saturday evening around 6:30pm. I reached out to C&R and they put me down for 2-4pm Sunday. They informed me ‘Chase’ who would be coming out. Chase called ahead while enroute to let me know his approximate arrival time and he arrived when he said he would. Chase listened to what I had identified as an obvious problem (damaged/melted wiring at the connection between the supply harness and the unit harness). He checked for any grounding issues starting downstream and worked his way back to the supply connection. Everything to that point was clean, so he made the repair to the previously identified problem area, and monitored the system at start-up, through sustained operation to identify any possible problem. Everything is working flawlessly and we couldn’t be happier! I have been very pleased with the quality of communication, service, and follow-up by C&R and Chase. They are based out of Whitehouse, Tx.
