  Stay away from DRB Homes. We closed on our new construction in late December and the experience has been a nightmare since moving in. Within the first 4 months, the driveway slabs began showing significant cracks. During our pre-closing inspection, we pointed out these defects, but the builder essentially sold us a broken product by applying a cosmetic surface patch to hide the damage instead of performing a proper structural replacement. Now, those patches are failing, revealing the structural issues underneath. To make matters worse, the lot grading is a disaster. Water pools and stands directly against the foundation slab after it rains, which is a clear violation of Texas building codes (IRC R401.3). This is not just a cosmetic issue; it’s a threat to the structural integrity of the entire home. Getting any kind of warranty support is nearly impossible. They are quick to take your money at closing but completely unresponsive when it comes to honoring their workmanship or addressing serious defects. I have been forced to escalate this to the Texas Attorney General’s office to get any visibility. Do yourself a favor and choose a builder that actually stands behind their construction. Based on my experience, DRB Homes does not.
