Question 1

Are you licensed and insured?

Accepted Answer

ARTX Windows maintains full licensing and insurance coverage. We recommend requesting documentation of general liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage from any contractor. These protections safeguard you in the event a worker is injured while working on your property.

Question 2

Are your installers company employees or subcontractors?

Accepted Answer

Our installers are W-2 employees, which typically provides stricter quality control standards. When contractors utilize 1099 subcontractors, it is important to confirm that those individuals are covered under the contractor's insurance policies.

Question 3

What is the difference between insert and full-frame installation?

Accepted Answer

An insert replacement, also called a pocket replacement, retains your existing window frame. A full-frame replacement removes the entire unit down to the wall studs, allowing the installation team to inspect for and repair any hidden water damage or wood rot that may be present.
