  Working with Benjamin Franklin has been an excellent experience from start to finish. I reached out to them for a second opinion after having a bad experience with another company. I requested a quote online around 9pm on a Sunday and received a call within 15 minutes. James came out the next day to do an estimate, explained the situation clearly, provided multiple options, and the tunneling crew was at the house the following morning. In addition to the promptness, the customer service from everyone I’ve interacted with has been outstanding. I’m over 1,200 miles away and needed someone I could trust not to take advantage of the situation. James built that trust immediately with his straightforward honesty and has been my point of contact throughout the process. He’s gone above and beyond by making himself available whenever I needed something and keeping me informed every step of the way. I also appreciated the communication and professionalism throughout the project. I received updates whenever James and his helper Larry were on their way to the house, and it gave me peace of mind knowing they were personally there overseeing the work.

  I had a sewer line clog on the evening of February 27th and called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing. They charged me the service fee and totally agreed with it but this wasn’t the issue — the problem was the dishonesty that followed. The plumber told me my sewer line was “broken” and that needed to dig and repipe the line immediately for $3,700. He also claimed that if I didn’t do the repair right away, the line would clog again within a few days. Thankfully, I took the time to research and get other opinions. Every plumber I spoke to said the same thing: the diagnosis didn’t make sense because the line was not broken and the price was unreasonable. It’s extremely disappointing to see a company try to pressure customers into expensive repairs they don’t actually need. This happened almost two months ago, and my sewer line has no issues. I’m still frustrated by how misleading the experience was. I DO NOT recommend this company. Always get a second opinion before agreeing to anything this company tells you. ***The plumber that did the job was James Fry.

  At McDonald's in Salado, we couldn't turn off the hot water in the mop sink. We called Benjamin Franklin Plumbing to fix our problem. James came immediately and provided 2 options: quick fix and long-term solution. Obviously, there is a difference in price. I was impressed that they actually provided 2 ways of fixing my problem. The first option was the quick resolution to stop the water from flowing. It should work but can't guarantee that it won't happen again. The second option was to resolve the issue at the main source which was at the water heater. We opted for the second option as that will help prevent issues at other faucets in the future. Upon providing the direction for the repair, James and Larry quickly gathered the materials and fixed the problem immediately. As a business, we love repeat customers. For James to provide a long-term solution means that I may not have to call him for water leaks as often. This integrity and excellent service just means that Benjamin Franklin Plumbing is our ONLY plumbing service provider. No need to call anyone else for our plumbing needs. Thank you James and Larry!
