  Alvin was super helpful the entire process. He was straight forward, honest, and efficient. I was never left in the dark on parts, scheduling, or tech arrival ETA. Alvin got my blower motor and control board swapped out in no time. Truly a great representative of Red Star and a pleasure to deal with. I got some wild quotes from other companies and Red Star was fairly priced and exceeded my expectations. Thanks Alvin and thank you Red Star!

  This was my first time using Red Star and it was a great experience! I initially spoke to Tacarra. She answered all of my questions and got me scheduled quickly. Alvin was my technician and explained everything thoroughly before performing any work. Both were wonderful to work with! I can tell how hard working and dedicated Alvin is!

  He stayed to figure out the problem and fixed it instead of trying to sell me a completely new AC unit. I’m so happy with this technician’s work . Thank you for sending someone who was willing to take the time to solve the problems my AC unit was having. This is not the time to be without cool air. Sincerely J Ivins

  Came home to frozen coils on 7/2/2026. Made an appointment with red Star as they serviced my coils In 2023 for 7/3/2026. Somebody came out and diagnosed the problem as a liquid line clogged that needed to be replaced. Was quoted over $700. But due to the holiday, the next available date that they could have somebody come out to do the repairs was 7/8/2026. They called me the morning of needing to cancel due to employee having a baby. I was very understanding as some things just can’t be planned and they rescheduled me to the next day 7/9/2026, My window was 10 to 1 PM. The technicians did not arrive until almost 230. With no call that service was going to be late. Three technician showed up. Said it was only gonna take 30 minutes to perform the service. At 4:30 I was informed that the issue was not the drain line that it was the motor fan and that they were going to need another technician to come out to diagnose the problem, even though they have already diagnosed the problem. Then if that was truly the problem then they were going to have to have the part ordered and then another repair team come out to replace the motor. Mind you it is now Thursday of the following week so I’ve not had AC in the middle of summer in Texas for a week. I called to speak to a manager. The service manager was very rude and heartless. Along with this very upsetting frustration while the repair technicians were here two of them use the bathroom for over 30 minutes, requested ice water multiple times and we’re sitting on my patio playing on their phones for more than 30 minutes. After extreme frustration, I requested a refund which I have yet to receive And canceled all additional services. I Later called conditioned air and had a service member Come out the following morning 7/10. Diagnosed the problem as a covered warranty part and had my unit up and running within the hour. Replaced my upstairs filter along with the AC unit filter for free. And provide great customer service and overall experience. Beware of red Star cooling and heating awful customer service and just scamming you for money.
